I wonder if the brothers had brawls in the pool back when they were boys with Jock jumping in to break them up. If so, it's amazing JR lived so long.

LOL. That first scene is the best - J.R. needling Donna about her late husband's "hard-earned graft" and then laughing and calling out "Don't go away mad!" after she pushes him in the pool. Charming bastard.

Those pool scenes were a tradition like the Ewing bbq and oil barons ball! Happy 40th anniversary Dallas! April 2nd 2018!

That slap by Marilee missed by the proverbial mile!!! They surely should have done another take!!!

Wasn't a true Dallas fight until the Southfork pool was involved.

A Ewing Gathering at South Fork without at least one person getting pushed into the pool is considered a dull affair.

Over the show's fourteen seasons Miss Ellie is regularly shown entering a scene while her sons are arguing or brawling causing her to shriek, "Stop it! Stop it!!"

The pool was the underrated star of the show. Even when characters married, divorced, remarried, or even got resurrected, the pool was a constant. It now does freelancing work. If you want to spice up drama at weddings, divorces, BBQs, family quarrels, and yes even Bar Mitzvahs just call the Southfork pool at 800-55-FIGHT!

I enjoyed the reboot show at the time, but in hindsight it tarnishes the hell out of the old series. The only thing they did that I really like now was clearing up the mystery of what happened to Pam. It sucks that she died, but I thought the explanation was quite good.

3:19 Pam dates John Gage. Bobby gets jealous and pushes that hose jockey into the pool. Gage is on duty the next day: Roy: John, weren't you a bit over your head dating a former Mrs. Ewing? John: No Roy, everything went fine! Roy: But John, you ended up in the pool!

They used the pool in very unique fun ways.

If I could have taken part in one of those scenes, it would definitely have been the one with Lucy. Would love to have been pushed in the pool by the beautiful Charlene Tilton and get to kiss her too. Even loved her reaction to pushing her boyfriend in.
