This show was underrated. Far better than lots of other reboots we've seen in recent years

Absolutely brilliant. For those of us who were fans of the original, this is the style we eagerly gravitate to and cherish.

This is exactly how the DALLAS rebooted 2nd series ought to have done their episodes opening credits. Iconic and perfect. Thanks.

I cried when I watched this...it wasn't bad enough loosing Larry Hagman but then we lost the entire program by surprise... you did s great job here..thx for sharing.

Love that they kept the opening intro in the alphabetical order of the actors & actress surnames just like the original regardless how famous they were , still on of the very best intros of all time

My gosh that French Horn part is amazing. Love this video. Still the best theme song.

@@cellytron, she and her son made some tough adversaries for the Ewings. I loved it when John Ross and Judith Light teamed up. That would have been an amazing Season 4. That could have set up a Sue Ellen/Judith Ryland clashing for corrupting her son.

Judith Light and Mitch Pileggi were so good on this I don't remember anyone else especially the younger actors like uber untalented Jordana Brewster.

This is my favorite television theme.

And you can usually identify the Season by the slight changes to the theme music.

RIP to the master, Larry Hagman, and Ken Kerchival.

I'm crying my ass off. My dad got me into a bunch of shows before he passed in 2018 including this one and something about the theme makes me teary af.

This is PRECISELY how it should have been shown....

I think Dallas (2012) was cancelled due to Larry Hangman’s death

This is one reason why I'm only sticking to the original. I read season 3 does this but I've seen the other opening theme season 1 and 2 and it's not the same. I think I'll just stick to the original. The original theme/intro makes me smile. It's hard watching it without Miss Ellie and hard without Larry Hagman. It can't be done now no way.

JR Ewing was, is, and forever will be THE FACE of Dallas, in both incarnations. RIP Larry Hagman. Thanks for this amazing legacy you left behind. The producers and showrunners of Dallas 2.0 did indeed struggle after Larry's passing.

Excellent job combining the old and the new. I hate it when they re-boot a classic series but compress the theme song. It just doesn't sound right when it is so pressed into your head. They tried re-doing the Hawaii Five-O theme without a full orchestra, but relented to fan pressure. They still cut it short though.

I wish a network would pick it back up where it left off.

They chose the 9th season version of the opening theme, 1986 - 87. 👍🏼

Great job. The music is very, very badly edited in the reboot. It jumps into the latter part of the sequence right from the outset. This was the best music! And the best style of titles. Bravo, Shane.

I saw and liked the rebooted version of the show but was so disappointed they didn't use the same opening format. It would have been perfect to tie it with its previous version.

You should have been the one doing the editing very well done loved it to bad this didn’t last longer they really could have kept the show going I miss Dallas

would have loved to see Charlene Tilton and Steve Kanaly included, but you did an awesome job, even the lil details, like having the two scenes on the outside of the 3-way-split freeze but having the one in the middle move on, like it was!

Its cool. You made a good Job on the technical side. But you should try to find scenes, where the actors dont speak. They never speaked in the opening credits. Thats the only thing, what is confusing

Actually in the opening credits for the first two seasons of the original "Dallas", 1978 half season and the 1978 - 79 season prior to Linda Gray's introduction into the credits as Sue Ellen, the characters were seen in the shots speaking or at least the majority of them were. And in the special opening credits they made have after Jock died they also are speaking.

Nicely done, but it just feels hollow without primarily introducing Barbara Bel Geddes as the matriarch of the Ewing family.

this is awesome but when they have the lone drum at the top it lacks and the brass sound too mindi.

Yes, this is how it should have been done! Except I would have taken Duffy, Gray, and Hagman out of the alphabetical list and put them as the last 3 names.

They have gone to that three panel format, but not alphabetical order this time. Judith Light should be made a regular on the show. Her character is a so much nastier than JR. They should bring back Kuno Becker as a regular, and have Steve Kanaly & Charlene Tilton on more often.

Anthony Reddick I agree. They took a great show and screwed it up. First they put someone in charge who not only never watched the original show but clearly did not care about it. It was less about the Ewings than it was a Mexican drama. A maid who is rude to her employers. And Elena and Emma could have been written better as well.

I think Ray Krebbs (Steve Kanaly's character) was written out of "Dallas" before the original series ended in 1992; therefore, I think that may have been the reason why they didn't bring him back when the new "Dallas" premiered 20 years later.

This just shows that the 2012 version was nothing but people standing and talking...

I love seeing fanmade openings but why always showing the actors talking? It drives me crazy..... doesn't make sense at all...

It was a great reboot and I think they could do it again with the with the cast reboot show in a s'more

You should have included some scenes showing them doing more than just talking.

They immediately messed up the new series by pissing about with the theme song and the style of the opening credits. They were iconic. You don't mess with that. But they did, and from that moment, we knew they wouldn't get the rest of the show right either, because if you can't respect the basics, you won't get anything right.

I never liked the shortened version of the theme they made, they eliminated the best part of the original, when DALLAS came on the screen. People watch a show though for the stories, not the opening credits.

When Pam died they were already divorced. He then married April Stevens in season 13. She died in the beginning of season 14.

JudithLight/ Rutland could have saved this show. It was all a bit too careful. It needed more twists - they shouldve had Jenna back, Bobbys other son, Charley, and if possible Donna Mills as Abby.

Lesson learned stop rebooting be original

Every one in this looks miserable plus their mouths are moving and we can't tell what they are saying try a version where they smile more and look better

i believe this was done OFFICIALLY in season 3 of the new show if not in season 2.
