    Another great video ... cold weather fishing is definitely not a fun game and one min you think you have them figured out and that’s when they love to let you know that they don’t... but that’s why they call it fishing and not catching.. and that’s one of the things we love most about this sport . Knowing that we figured them out is sometimes the best feeling in the world. But when we can’t it just makes us try that much harder next time.

    Great video. I really like that you walk through everything you encountered step-by-step. Identifying the structure and the water temperature and what techniques you used are key to helping others who might be watching this. Myself included. Thanks for a great video.

    Indeed. The Cumberland River System has such a buffet of species. It used to be right across the street from my house. I even miss the yellow bass, which we don't have here in Missouri.

    Thanks for the informative video. Really appreciate the information and instruction on how to find a pattern. SO much better than the videos that just show catching and releasing the fish. Too bad those conditions showed up for the tourney.

    A little trick with your Lowrance unit; you can toggle back and forth with your two favourite screen setups by holding the pages button for a couple seconds. Pick your first screen setup, then go to your next favourite setup. If you hold the pages button for a couple seconds, it will revert back to your last page, hold it again and returns to your first setup.

    Great video 👍. Your tournament was pretty much like mine (Santa cops on Ft. Loudoun lake) this past weekend. Cold, wind, rain, and didn’t get a bite! And only a few people caught fish. That’s fishing though 🤷‍♂️.

    Question is, I suppose. Why metal? And not soft plastic?

  • @academicmailbox7798

    @academicmailbox7798

    3 жыл бұрын

    Metal baits. Are significant. In that they do very little. And just do that. All of the time. Kind of like under motivated workers. Or lazy anglers. A bit like me.

  • @academicmailbox7798

    @academicmailbox7798

    And I think. That is something worth thinking about. In relation to temperature and bass. In relation to temperature. And fishing full stop.

    Jerk bait anglers. Actually struggle. To make the jerk bait. Not do too much (do that it can work, in this cold weather). A metal lure on the other hand. Makes it hard to do anything else. Other than. Not doing very much.

    I watch the incredible work rate and day long stamina (and I know I had that too, at a younger age). I don't know. Where it all went to. That lake anglers like Kristine. And a lot of others have. They can walk. And chew the gum. At the same time. And do it. On auto pilot.

  • @academicmailbox7798

    @academicmailbox7798

    However, Kristine is missing the secret here. It's not that metal. Is a metal lure. And not a plastic or wooden bait. It is that. Metal almost guarantees you. That you do fall into. A pretty boring rhythm. Sooner or later.
