I just fished Caddo and it was so high and muddy the fishing was terrible. Went over to Lake O’ the Pines and caught several nice ones. Love your videos! Keep it up!

Lake O’the Pines is an awesome lake ! I fish it nearly every weekend and Caddo on occasion.

Completely understand. To me it’s not about catching a lot of fish it’s getting on the water and away from everything. Of course catching them is always a plus. I homeschool my nephew who we have custody of so I need time to myself because that doesn’t happen very often.

Well I don’t plan on doing that, I love kayak fishing and will continue to do both. Honestly though, my boat vids are performing great. I hope people just follow for the fishing, regardless of the platform

Usually 65lb Berkley X5 - standard frog. 30-40lb X9 for finesse frog

Called a Gear-Up Surf edition carry bag. It's for carrying swimbaits (Zaldaingerous channel commented lately on how unsuitable a lot of boxes are to carry such baits, Steve Kennedy's interview for example where tonnes of baits were loaded into baggie's in a tote bin). And yet that was the best system of storage.

It was Lee Wulff back in forties who started sewing his own fly fishing jackets, that were suited to Atlantic salmon in fast rivers (purpose made extra short length jacket or over-vest that had capacity for stuff one had to carry, and yet kept it out of water).

Prior to which a lot of anglers had a traditional fly fishing shoulder bag (it turned out the Lee Wulff system jacket was a better idea). So the jackets took over, and then that evolved on. Witness Mikael Frodin today for example wearing a garment where the pocket capacity became expanded, to carry things like reels, extra line, leader, lures etc.

What's occurred is we've forgotten or neglected the concept of a well made and designed fishing, purpose-made shoulder bag. And swimbaits are that kind of thing (sort of like crankbaits), where you tend to want to pick up your favorite assortment of baits to throw them off a dock (or throw them into a kayak and go paddling). Just to observe their action and how they swim. That's what Steve Kennedy's plastic box full of bags with lures in them, doesn't suit.

It was a thing that arose in Zaldaingerous interview, height of boat off water versus kayak. The disadvantage of kayak is one is too close to water when seated to work certain lures, rod tip pointed down. The advantage to that same position, and being in closer proximity to water. Is that one could observe the action of some lures a lot better (which is harder to do when standing on a dock or boat deck).

👍✌️ young lady, you can't be missing fish like that when you're out on the bass trail...... I watch that one that blew up underneath them trees...... my opinion that was a bass... in my opinion it was an upward strike, from left to right partially coming out of the water the branches are what stop you from hooking up with that bass... the one that jumped 9 ft, LOL?? You pulled that a good distance back to the kayak so I question whether you really had to hook set? She was just really hungry an wasn't letting go rite?? Looking forward to you crushing it on the bass tournament.. Good luck out there young lady. ✌️👏
