Congrats Michael! I got my blue belt 6 months ago and it was an amazing feeling. 5 years ago I was a 400 pound dude and wanted to do jiu-jitsu so bad but I was too discouraged. I finally stepped up, stopped smoking weed, lost 100 pounds, and took my first class and fell in love. Fast forward almost 2 years, I lost another 103lbs and honestly, it’s a surreal feeling to even be a blue belt now. You guys are all a huge motivation to keep pushing my self. Thanks for sharing this!

Congrats to all that went thru the blue belt test! I remember rolling with Heath in Fenton back in the day after his blue belt test as a newer white belt. Instead of mounting me and resting he literally coached me on how to escape mount despite being so exhausted. It’s honestly something I think about a lot while watching the Daisy Fresh series and this channel. Incredible guy, incredible team and just all around inspiring stories!!

Not a white belt dude, he's a four-time wrestling national champ. In a lot of areas he is a black belt.

Michael’s dad seems like an awesome dad and role model! He is lucky to have him.

Glad to see this. Pixley is a good dude. I think Jiu-Jitsu is a good place for him to be represented for the work he puts in. More than the physical growth is all the other personal growth that comes with it. Saw George’s comment about him giving back and coaching the day before this. Good man. God bless

I’m a 38yo female blue belt and I am so happy for you! I took a long time to get my blue belt because grappling was so foreign to me. However, I know it’s just a belt but it’s still one of my best accomplishments to date. I still have a long way to go. Congratulations to the promotions and passing those tests❤

As a european it seems to me that the american culture of wrestling produces some insanely good grapplers. If i will ever be able to visit you guys, i will be kinda embarresed to even wear my blue belt :D

I have only just found out that Michael is a blue belt. The guy is an incredible athlete. He will be a black belt killer if he isn’t already. How often do the majority of the guys train and do they have jobs to do alongside it?

I’m crying man. His pops talking just like my old man did to me. Got me in boxing. That’s the best part of this video. His old man is proud as f-ck.

The time requirements for jj belting are asinine. Pixley should be a purple..... him competing at blue is just a waste of time. He might lose a match or two at purple but he would win a bunch. He such an exciting and knowledgeable grappler

Something that has bothered me for a really long time is when Keith said in the documentary that the ibjjf refs said they wouldn't even address him if he didn't speak portuguese. That really really really grinds my gears.
