This is so helpful. I planted 8 tubers in 18 in wide containers on May 20. Two have sprouted and have come up. Waiting patiently. Cafe au Lait was the first to pop up.

Thanks very much for this great, informative video. Very helpful. We are experiencing a very hot drought in Pittsburgh. The soil is bone dry. I just planted my tubers yesterday. You mentioned with these dry conditions I could water the mounds once a week. Would that be a complete thorough watering? Thanks very much for letting us know.

Any change in tuber depth for clay like soil?

What potting soil do you recommend to start tubers in pots? Thanks!

This is perfectly timed! You mention dahlias needing to push through the soil for strength, how does that work with ones that are pre sprouted in pots, grown by seed or clippings?

She mentioned in another video if you prestart them to trim them down to a couple inches and then plant them so they still get to push through. I have 15 prestarted ready to plant and I'm nervous to actually trim them to the recomnded 2 inches because I don't want to do this step wrong

@@NoOne20277 I've pre started before and planted them tuber in the soil and sprout above. I've never had a problem. I was just wondering what the suggestion was. Thank you. I may try half and half.

Do you recommend using hortanova netting?

I recently read that a prominent grower plants their tubers Vertically, is there a reason you advise against this?
