He stayed close to his heart for a long time, it messed with his mind a little, giving him the idea of dominating Morrowind and giving sovereignty to his people. he was going to talk to nerevar about it but nerevar was killed on the way to the cave where dagoth was by traitors of his own people if i remember correctly. these traitors also killed dagoth and left his corpse there, and for the long time he stayed in the cave he absorbed the power of the heart and revived thus taking revenge and getting the thought that nerevar ó betrayed him. Dagoth Ur is the best RPG villain I know
