It's songs like these that make me respect the hell out of these guys. At its core, this is very simplistic, consisting of a few ascending and descending chords, a very simplistic melody and a pretty standard kick-snare beat. But it's the way this song just pulls you in that keeps you listening, makes you pay attention to every little thing and puts you in a trance, and before you know it, it's all over. These guys are so damn talented.

let me tell you... it is. Throughtout all summer I would put this on a loop and I would roll down the windows and put my hand out. I would often drive at about 2 or 4 am, just before the sunrise... truly amazing. I can't describe the feeling, but when I hear this song it takes me back to that summer. When driving I felt faster than what I actually was going. It will no doubt be a core memory for me, thank you Daft Punk. Music truly is our closest form of time travelling, when it comes to nostaliga and also envisioning the future.

This song has always reminded me of a hero's journey. I picture an old school classic like link but not exactly link. Just a montage of some heroes journey from beginning to end, summed up in the progressive layering of this track, each layer added shows a more perilous part of his journey leading to the ultimate climax with the big bad.
