Lyrics:
I see you
You see me
How pleasant
This feeling
The moment
You hold me
I missed you
I'm sorry
I've given
What I have
I showed you
I'm growing
The ashes
Fall slowly
As your voice
Consoles me
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
We're swaying
To drum beats
In motion
I'm feeling
My patience
Controlling
The question
I won't speak
We're telling
The stories
Our laughter
He knows me
We're leaving
We're talking
You're closer
It's calming
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
The night will hold us close
And the stars will guide us home
I've been waiting for this moment
We're finally alone
I turn to ask the question
So anxious, my thoughts
Your lips were soft like winter
In your passion, I was lost
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know

Damn, you described this subtle feeling the best! It so sad not to have mutual love when you are young! And now, when you're in your 30s you understand that you don't look at the world throug 'pink glasses' anymore and there are very few chances that you'll ever taste that naive feeling of romantic love.

This song is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and Jennifer Connelly is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen
In Feb. 2015, Mr.Kitty uploaded “After Dark” to his KZread channel with some cover art. In April 2019, a fan named Diana Sandra posted the song to KZread with footage from “Career Opportunities,” a 1991 film with Jennifer Connelly, which in April 2022 had more than 55 million views. “I really appreciate the fan videos and making my music accessible to people that don’t really know what I do or anything like that,” Mr.Kitty said. “And then the ‘Career Opportunities’ one popped up, and I just remember watching it and I was like, this movie was really, really bad. I was like, this movie kind of sucks. But the way that Diana Sandra…edited it, made it good, I guess. And so it really got people interested.” “And then months later, it’s just like the views for that kept climbing. And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s interesting.’ But the thing is, yeah, they can’t monetize it. So all the views and all that goes to me.” In a funny twist, Mr.Kitty loves Jennifer Connelly and has several collectibles, including a photo book from “Labyrinth” - a movie she starred in from 1986 - and a record where Connelly is singing in Japanese.

I literally can't stop listening to this masterpiece . The first 300 times while I was watching the video I thought that maybe I'll get bored at some moment but nooooo! I was born in 91 and still I want from time to time this era to come back for a day or week , just to live a lot more simple life how it was ( from what I saw and heard ) . Thank you for the beautiful memory that I will have with this song 🥂😁
Jennifer Connelly is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Just Wow
Jennifer, respectfully, was/is one of the most beautiful women on the planet. Something about the 80s aesthetic, fashion and women & men makes me so incredibly nostalgic for a time I missed by about ten years.
The girl you see in your dreams and spend your time with her and then you wake up realising it was a dream, you don’t remember the girl nor her face but you know it was best time of your life.
Jennifer Connelly. The Queen of disappointed enthusiasm. Angelic.
I remember this era. As life gets harder and harder I look back and wish I would have enjoyed my youth more.
As a movie I find Career Opportunities mediocre at best, but this video is....transcendent. Something about an average looking guy in a very nostalgic, universal American 90s space dancing along with this sort of angelic dream girl captures what it was like being a teenage guy and being in awe of how beautiful your crush was. It was a new and innocent kind of attraction when you were young. You've seen beautiful women since, but something about teenage romance is so pure. Looking back on it feels like a dream--it feels like this video.

The music creates a feeling of something that can be described as bitter sweet or 'nostalgic melancholia' which is really a condition of feeling great sadness or depression from having experienced true joy in the past but never quite being able to capture it again as it was a fleeting moment in life. The best way to think about it in my view is be grateful that you had a moment in life where you felt that joy at all because some people don't even get to have that.

Growing up as a teenager in the 80s, Jennifer would be the perfect girl in charisma and looks and this song is the perfect time machine of music to return to that time - it is an overwhelming combination of memories and all the longings of the past, which triggers an endless loop.

This video tells many people in ancient times were so loving and romantic and innocent. Now we are getting lonely with the new generation and the changing, strange new technological life.

@@maddiemiserable4659 "just a few decades ago." Well, a human lifespan is just a few decades, so it's long enough ago (and certainly different enough) for it to feel like a different time altogether.
80's ...amazing time. I remember target when it was like that. Going and buying a tape and trying out the stereo on the shelf. I would give anything to go back to those times. 2024 is total shit

The movie came out in '91 probably filmed in '90- but yeah this was the end of the 80s and I was only two years old barely when this movie came out and even I'm nostalgic for this era.

@@TheWhiteWolf2077 I was born in 1990 but like most millenials I grew up listening and watching 80' and early 90' movies/series and songs. I have nostalgia of a time i wasn't even born or can barely remember and while i dont hate our current times and technology i wish we could go back to those times at least a little.

Yeh, I know the one you mean. I worked in Kmart and never saw that!
My god she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Is it just me or she really is so beautiful?
Jennifer Connely in 80' is a godess, divine natural beauty! And in his 50 still so gorgeous and stunning, so elegant and classy. One of the most beautiful actress ever. Definitely with Ryan Gosling the best match for Mr Kitty song, make me go back to the 80s, miss the old times, everything was much more natural, more authentic, more human. No internet, no smartphones, no social media, simple human interaction, good times enjoying with friends, more polite and friendly people... we definitely have not gone forwards but backwards.
