Every generation gets nostalgic about 'their' past and memories of great time periods, but there was something definitely very special about the 1980's. It felt like a time of hope, positivity and unlimitless potential. People could joke without offending a particular community subset and there certainly wasn't the plethora of whingers that seem unhappy about something every day now. I just wish the easy going and lighthearted attitudes of that time could be reinvented for the present.

The 80s was a golden age of rock and pop music. No other decade had the same creativity.

Youth!! You don't realize how precious it is..I am an old man and I wish I could go back. I have lots of great memories though.

Good old 80’s - a time never forgotten and sadly never repeated. Jennifer was beautiful then and still is today - she is a gorgeous looking woman.

Really want to go back to the 80's or 90's. The world was much simple back then.

On 1984, i was 16 and at hight school...when i heard Alphaville, especially this song, i was not aware i was in the greatest part of my life. Tomorrow, it's August 3rd 2023 and i m celebrating my 55 years old... celebrate is not the real word... always alone and single ... my only reason is to have come true my two teenager dreams. My work ( school car instructor)and to own my dream car( 1984 Honda crx ballade 1.5).... life is very simple in fact....

I hear and can relate to you. I'm a little younger then you and I'm starting to feel the same. I enjoy every single moment of the day and everything was much more simple. Even to these days, I still watch movies in the 80s and 90s to remind myself how life and movies were for pleasure instead of imagination.

She is beautiful and timeless . . . and she’s one helluva an incredible actress. Just simply stunning. ♥️

I was born in 1970, living my teenage years in the 80's was amazing. The best of times, in my opinion hands down the greatest decade. Oh and by the way Jennifer Connolly is absolutely adorable, she's beauty personified.

I couldn't agree more that the 1980s were the best years of life for most people. It was for me. I turned 35 in 1980 and accidentally bumped into my High School Sweetheart in a grocery store. We started dating again and moved in together only for it to last just 6 years! But they were the best 6 years of my life and I give credit to the times, music, and people I knew. Hope your teenage years were as great as my 30s. And I hope you are having a good time now as well.

Such a brilliant film that makes us all get goosebumps thinking life and age goes by so fast and is oh so precious time goes so fast for all of us but worth so much watching Jennifer Connelly she truly was very talented actress but also blossomed into a woman of beauty and a great acting career best wishes from an loving fan from Galway Ireland 👍👍🙏🙏

I was 24 in 1984, and Danish. We heard this song all the time, it was huge. And what we wanted as young people was to be young - not irresponsible, just young. Living in times of the Cold War and AIDS, we just wanted what the song said.

If you've ever seen the film you'd realise it's nothing like 'Mannequin', although I get what you mean. One thing the films have in common: in real life Jennifer and Kim Cattrall wouldn't look twice at the men playing the leads.
