A well intentioned bit of advise - Make sure you dont get caught in a “cheap job too busy no time/money to keep up to date and relevant feedback loop” being self employed the real problem is to also make the money you are worth and be doing jobs that have the biggest value possible so you can stay in the right circles and not end up doing low value stuff people dont really want to pay for. Ive always found that if people ask too much about the price its best to make your excuses and walk away you have better things to do with your time than be working hard giving people huge value and then making a loss when they cant/ wont pay properly. Shit i can sit at home drinking tea and lose money , I don’t need to work my butt off aswell and lose money. Im sure youre more sensible than me but its taken me far too long to realise where i went wrong

@@TRUCKTECHUK The video was very interesting, if it is true that it changed the format a bit, but the important thing is that the whole procedure is understood and what it wants to teach us. Since the channel started I have always watched his videos, and he has always tried to make the entire system of the vehicle work in an original way, but with euro 5 he took a ground signal to eliminate the brake malfunction warning in the dip, and an independent positive signal for warning of alternator malfunction in the dip. It is another way to solve the failure, and it is valid. I am not criticizing you in a negative way, I just saw that in this video you change the way you solve the failures a bit. Congratulations, excellent video, and thank you very much for teaching. I'll be on the lookout for the video on the Nox sensor solution. 👍👍

You REALLY need to invest in some diagnostics.....not because it's the way the world is going but also because it opens the possibility to you testing or checking components quicker and with less work. For example, why use a multimeter when you could check the voltage through monitoring data in a ecu? I'm not saying DAF diagnostics are a must to fix these trucks as it ISN'T. It's why I started using multi Fleet diagnostics such as jaltest to show the world its a methodical process mindset not the dealer diagnostic tool that is doing the work.....its you.

@@TRUCKTECHUK the only thing that jaltest cannot do is update the modules, or schedule them when new ones are installed. I've already tried. On one occasion it did not allow me to calibrate the engine oil level sensor on a cf 410 euro vl. but in the rest the jaltest is very useful, to perform vtg calibration, check the fuel system, EAS operation, adblue pump and others. in addition to allowing the regeneration of the DPF.

@mauriciogomez1410 don't get me wrong like I said on the podcast jaltest will do 99 percent of my day and that one percent it can't will be certain module programming. Granted jaltest can copy and paste certain ecus such as ECAS, SAC and haldex gen-3 trailer valves but for alot of ecus it cannot.....but I feel that will change soon! It has too as we can't continue to add ecus to trucks and be left in the dark when it comes to programming. I think it will need some sort of super user access though to prevent random people just bricking ecus with such a powerful function

I don't know if they are still improving the jaltest diagnostic equipment, to be able to modify the parameters of clients in DAF trucks and configure the minimum and maximum RPM for the operation of the pto, because I have tried to make that modification and it has not been possible.
