Daddy Sang Bass is the most accurate way to describe Geoff in every song
I feel like this is the kind of song Geoff always wants to sing. His vocal control is just so strong that he accesses those low register notes flawlessly. That song was definitely a song where it was more "Geoff and the others" than it was "Voiceplay" because everyone was solid but that was ALL about Geoff

Just discovered this awesome group a few weeks ago and have been enjoying all their videos, especially Geoff's solo stuff. I thought his reaction beginning at 1:54 here told me all I need to know about him as a human being ... and then I saw the "Baby Lucci - Our IVF Journey" video. My husband and I had been married 20 years before we were able to get pregnant. My son is 10 years older than William. When Geoff and Kathy get the call that they're finally pregnant, I cried with them. Knowing what they went through for him to be Daddy singing Bass, I may have teared up when watching this one again. Going by video release dates, it looks like Geoff started skipping haircuts during Kathy's last trimester. Love the long hair. Two months ago, I didn't know I liked a capella music. Now I'm a huge fan of Voiceplay and Geoff (I'm all about that bass).
Geoff as the lead, I am melting...

Geoff opened his mouth and my life flashed before my eyes.
Terrific singing, but the bit that surprised me was when at 2:15, when being passed to another adult, the wee blond baby smiled in delight. Now I relly understand the phrase "an infectious smile," because to my surprise and delight, it instantly and instinctively triggered a mile-wide smile in me. It must have been a flash-back to a memory of when my own, now grown kids, lit up my life, and their mums, with a sudden smile. :-)

Well I remember when I was a lad times were hard and things were bad, But there's a silver lining behind every cloud. Well just a simple people, that's all we were Tryin' to make a livin' out a black land dirt We'd get together in a family circle singin' loud! And Daddy sang bass, Mamma sang tenor, Me and little brother would join right in there Singin' seems to soothe a troubled soul One day soon, and it won't be long, I'll rejoin them with a song. Well I'm gonna join the family circle at the throne! No the circle won't be broke By and by Lord, by and by And Daddy sang bass, Mamma sang tenor, Me and little brother would join right in there In the sky, Lord, in the sky And we were singin' (Singin') Singin' (Singin') Singin' in harmony (And we were singin') Singin' (Singin') Singin' (Singin' in harmony!) Well I remember after work, Mamma would call in all of us Well you could hear us singin' for a country mile! Now little brother's done gone on, But I'll rejoin him with a song We'll be singin' again up yonder in a little while! And Daddy sang bass, Mamma sang tenor, Me and little brother would join right in there Singin' seems to soothe a troubled soul One day soon, and it won't be long, I'll rejoin them with a song. Well I'm gonna join the family circle at the throne Oh the circle won't be broken, By and by Lord, by and by. And Daddy sang bass, Mamma sang tenor, Me and little brother would join right in there In the sky, Lord, in the sky!

2:18 I can't imagine what Geoff's baby is thinking. The vibration would be awesome.
Their families are beautiful.
I stop watching VoicePlay (And A capella music in general) in around May 2017, then i come back, and i see this!
