As a baritone, growing up it always frustrated me that my range simply cannot reach the extremes lows of a bass or the highs of a tenor. The lowest I’m able to reach is through “Would you go with me” by Josh Turner. I turned to transforming my voice by altering my tone to achieve different sounds instead of notes. I have tremendous respect for vocalists capable of these incredible notes.

A D2 isn't bad at all for a baritone. There's no need to worry about being something you're not. I used to be really annoyed by the fact I'm not a tenor and can sing all my favorite songs like one, but after a while I've grown to appreciate my bass range and put it to effective use wherever I find.

I swear, working to hit lower notes has improved my overall singing ability(which is still amateur but anyway) satisfying as hell.
Great compilation and editing. The funny thing here is that the Mongolians have been using this technique for centuries. Another word for it is throat singing. It is even more fun when you can learn to do thin whistle singing and create 3 distinct sounds at once using this technique. The older I have got the more I prefer good old chest singing. Subharmonics isn't the extension ones true vocal range. If low notes near the D1 and under are to be had I prefer fry as long as its done right and not often. In reality as bass singers, we don't need to go lower than a E1 anyway.

The first subharmonic is a one-octave cheat code, the second harmonic is an octave and a fifth cheat code, and the third subharmonic is a two-octave cheat code. @@freddiestudio7668 thanks man
I love how Ken Turner makes it seem like such a feat... the other ones don't make people laugh, but there is a little humor, which is really fun lol
*0:28* that sounds like a high pitched deep sound
Geoff needs to do voice acting. Dude has a good range.
I feel like bassist only have 1 dresscode: long hair
this makes me want to cry because my voice only goes to like... C3
Man I love this! I feel like a sponge soaking up all this knowledge, thanks Marcello for this!
Bass voices are my favorite
This is crazy & I love it; I've never even heard of this!!!!! I'm so excited to check out their channels!
Thanks for your work, brother! Keep those videos coming!
4:13 that low low lo w note was some freaky magical goose bump stuff right there my gosh woah 0
Geoff's range is insane!
Really incredible range on these singers!
Love this! I love VoicePlay and Geoff is extremely talented! As are the other singers in the video :D Tim Foust is another amazing bass singer I reccomend to everyone, his acapella group is Home Free and they've also done videos with VoicePlay too

I don't understand why Tim Foust wasn't one of the bass singer examples in this compilation. I remember reading that Geoff credits him with some help extending his low range. But I can't figure out where I read that.

@@lschoenrank Simple. Tim doesn't use subharmonics. This is a subharmonics compilation.
Love these guys, I'm always amazed
Amazing video again!!! :)
For common people it sounds like people are making sound by resonating with their liver or something even deeper inside :)
SOOOOO SICK THEIR ELECTRIC/POLY SUB BASSES ARE SO CLEAN COMING FROM A BEATBOXING BACKGROUND
Love this compilation bro!! Thanks for having me again :) 10:00 ha. like & sub. what a pun 😂

@@guarnerosmorajosemaria8036 but not with chest bruh, and below a F2 in chest sounds like chest+fry, i mean F2 its a low note for a tenor, for a baritone its pretty common, i consider myself a baritone, i can go to C#2 in chest and resonate a F2, so yeah im a baritone, but because im in puberty i can maybe become a Bass or a Bass-Baritone

@@guarnerosmorajosemaria8036 im telling about his range from chest, lower then a F2 its sounds like chest-fry, and thats because he is a tenor, or maybe a baritenor And about the growls and somethings like that, welp the growl i dont count it because it was a growl without support and lacks of technique. But yeah, he has a pretty wide vocal range
a large double bass (orchestral bass) only goes to C1 with the extension. this is CRAZY!
This video made me like bass and the bass community of KZread so thank you 😊.
Great video! Clap it up dan is really good with subharmonics!!👌
David Larson at the G#1 just sounds like a War Horn and it’s amazing

Would be amazing. Once they tried to do like a choir for fun and someone asked corpse to do a nice low note. And guess what, he chested a huge F1 like butter 😂 and everyone was like "bruhhhhh"

With his condition, gerd, I'd not expect him to do very well with holding any particularly low note for long.
Oh heck, I was looking the other day for a reference of singers having a deeper voice. Got what I asked for in the form of a random YT suggestion, haha. Thanks!
this sounds so amazing
This sounds like they could move mountains with just their voices.

I love low riffs those are beautiful 😍
I have a keyboard at my desk it was fun to play along with the notes... its crazy these guys really are hitting these notes perfect because when you strike the piano note at the exact same time they ring together perfectly and since my piano plays out of my computer speakers it is indistinguishable from the youtube track
Awesome compilation!
I love this and because of finding this I discovered that my lowest note is Ab0 and my highest note without a falsetto is G#5 and I want to keep improving my tone

Holy friggin guacamole- if my eyes get any wider listening to this they are going to fall out of my head. This was such a treat to listen to with headphones.
From this I actually found my lowest subhermonic which was a second but I managed to pull a B0 and I've been practicing it for about a year.
