Dada - 'Dizz Knee Land' ::: Second Story Garage
Ойын-сауық
Dada perform their song "Dizz Knee Land" during their session at the Second Story Garage studio at the Daily Camera offices in Boulder, Colorado. www.secondstorygarage.com.
What have you done with the past 20 years?
dada have mostly kept busy rocking. The California trio of Michael Gurley, Joie Calio and Phil Leavitt broke out in 1992 with their hit “Dizz Knee Land.” Now, many hits later, they’re celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band with a huge North American tour.
We invited them in for a session while they were in our neck of the woods and they showed us that time has not taken a negative toll on the music.
Watch “Dizz Knee Land,” above, then check out “Guitar Girl” and “A Friend of Pat Robertson,” as well as dada’s interview with Ashley.
What they brought us: Good old-fashioned tour merch in the form of a signed poster and some buttons.

As a retired truck driver these guys were one my favorite road bands in the 90s.
They still can cut it. What a full sound for a trio. Great.
Great song, great album, great band..
I'm a geezer and I love this song.
One of my favorite Dada songs, that and Dim! Saw them a couple of years ago in Austin, Texas at Stubb's barbecue - only a handful of people at the show. One of the best shows I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few! Dada rocked the house. If you weren't there you missed an incredible show. Thank you for sharing!!
Love that strat's tone! Awesome performance!
Still love you guys and you should have been huge back in the day!!
Ahh damn how did I stumble into this? This album had a profound affect on my life. Love it.
One of my all time favorite songs. It's original, it grooves, great job !
It's hard to believe Puzzle came out so long ago. I remember when it was new, cruising down the street with buddies listening to the album.

Ive been looking for this song for ages
Beautiful guitar tones! Gurley you're the man-
Brings back Great Memories from back in Philly 20 years ago as I cruze down the Rio Grande Valley towards the Trinity Site and the Bosque del Apache NWR
One of the most underrated bands of all time. I worked at Moby Disc I heard everything from that time. From Elvis Costello writing shitty misogynistic records for Patsy Kensit, to riot grrrrl Belly, to certainly not hearing enough BIPOC music that was way more than worthy, but I love me some Dada.
you won't remember but i saw you play in Austin in the 80's and talked after the show. I jokingly asked you if you were The The because it's like dada and it got you guys. It was a great show in a small venue and you finished with a beatles song. Thanks for the great music and memories, you're a great band,
Still friggin AWESOME!!
Lucky to see these guys in Ann Arbor at the Blind Pig ( many years ago ). Great sounding band and song
Fanfreakingtastic!! Mistakes and all!!
Saw them yesterday at the Kincert in Morgan Hill CA became a fan. Awesome performance. A lot of catching up to do, but it will be well worth it!!!!!!!
I saw these guys open up for Sting in 1993 in Charlotte, NC. I had never heard of them before, but a song or two in, I was hooked. Went and bought Puzzle and been a fan every since.
I love these guys!
nice groove!
Great song! I heard it on 99x in Atlanta years ago. I love the video because I get to see you guys play.

Those harmonies, love it!! Does anyone know the make of that bass?
here is a camera video from about 2008 back yard party Joey is playing bass Dizzneyland
90s rule
Did they play anymore songs?!
That guitarist is the shit
:)
He looks like Robert Smith :P
uh huh
Sounds like they had to drop it a couple keys to compensate for every vocalist's worst enemy - time. Great band. Find their great Christmas tune "My Baby Fell for Ol' St. Nick" you won't be sorry.

They play it a half step down to make it easier on Mike's hands. He has issues with carpal tunnel.
