Dada - 'A Friend Of Pat Robertson' ::: Second Story Garage
Ойын-сауық
Dada perform their song "A Friend Of Pat Robertson" during a recording session at the Second Story Garage studio at the Daily Camera offices in Boulder.

What have you done with the past 20 years?
dada have mostly kept busy rocking. The California trio of Michael Gurley, Joie Calio and Phil Leavitt broke out in 1992 with their hit “Dizz Knee Land.” Now, many hits later, they’re celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band with a huge North American tour.
We invited them in for a session while they were in our neck of the woods and they showed us that time has not taken a negative toll on the music.
Watch “Dizz Knee Land,” above, then check out “Guitar Girl” and “A Friend of Pat Robertson,” as well as dada’s interview with Ashley.
What they brought us: Good old-fashioned tour merch in the form of a signed poster and some buttons.

This is the only time that the "underrated" label surely fits.
most underrated band of all time
Very beautiful sad song. I love 72 Hours, and 7.1. The entire mini album is great.

72 Hours is one of my top 5 Dada songs for sure. This video is awesome and it's not even the best song on the mini album!
Love this song, love this band, so talented.
I bet I've listened to this 40-50 times. The vocal/guitar interplay and song are just...terrific. I never tire of listening to Dada.
That song gives me chills - even after hearing it more than 100 times! dada ROCKS!
Gods "There is no better band on earth.
Off the charts drumming by Phil, as usual. Phenomenal!!!
Incredibly brilliant song. Incredibly brilliant band. dada forever.
Wonderfully talented musicians and great people - had the honor of seeing them live several times.
So lovingly pissed at these guys. So underated , I can't understand why they didn't go further. So brilliant together god i love every song dada ever did!
love gurleys guitar. sounds like knopfler with an edge.
Great arrangement! Great Band!
That is pure gold right there. Harmonies, understated amazing playing, the drum groove that never waivers, and a message that isn't screamed in your face but dares you not to pay attention. Pure gold.
Love this band!
These guys melt my soul.
This is the only Dada album I don't have or haven't ever really listened to. Not sure why.
They're touring this summer!! August 2nd in Ft Collins and the 3rd in Denver. If we go, they will tour again!!!!!!!

Been buying albums since about 1967, I have original first pressings of many Beatles, Zep, Deep Purple and on and on. Loads of ‘90’s alternative as well. I would consider Dada Puzzle my favorite of all time. It is absolutely incredible what these guys produced.
Love it!
Happy Pride!
like it or not, left or right, conservative or liberal, facts are-it takes all kinds- but the music here moves you- one way or another
So nice!
This is called ,,, a friend of dada.“ ,Do you come together ? And play again …..please
Why were these guys not at least as big as REM or anybody else?
How could Pat Robertson downvote six times? Fishy.
Hw still has Carpel Tunnel....I saw him dunk that arm in ICE water between sets....saw them in a dive called tah Rack N Roll...colorado springs seat of "Focus of yer' Own Fucing Family!"...heyaaaa...they fuckin' rock!

I saw the famous Gurley ice tray being carried out to the bus in Seattle for the Dada 20 tour. Despite the carpal, one of the very best guitarists ever!
I like it.

In a sense, this song is thematically linked to "Scum" from American Highway Flower.
When did this happen? Love this version!
cuando andan por argentina
I saw dada as Support for Sting in koblenz ( germany] , ..so good, an underated band , Not in tune in the moment, Hope for reunion, Michael gurley has a Good News Album.
I would say underappreciated but not underrated.
Maybe change the name of the track ...gives off weird vibes
That's cute! Patiently waiting for the Dada tune entitled, "I'm An Unlearned Left-Wing Shipdit."

Really Great Band that lost it's way. Putting people down just cause you don't agree is a waste of time. Make beautiful music with upbeat lyrics. Otherwise - sink.......

Bobby Track Where to even start on a comment like this. Just ponderous. Let’s all make happy upbeat music with no meaning or emotion? Baffling

But the far right telling people they are going to help if they believe something different than themselves isn't putting people down? They are just acknowledging how screwed up religion is .
