'It's mine' by Mobb Deep and Nas would be a pretty good song to react to. It samples the scarface soundtrack and Nas' final verse is impeccable. 'I'm going out' is another good song off the same album Murda Muzik and is a lot more of a fast paced song with rapid lyrical deliver. Perfect song to go pumped to. 'Moment of Truth' by Gang Starr is also a pretty good song with poignant messages throughout.

I remember seeing the post about your dad getting you the old Hip-Hop magazines and thought that was great. Well, I was listening to track # 4 off this album, Eye for an Eye Feat. Nas & RaeKwon(Wu-Tang), that led me to Verbal Intercourse which is on Raekwon’s solo debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. This album is considered a classic. There was a magazine back then called The Source and there was a piece called 5 mics. This piece/artist spotlight was based on lyricism, the verse would get a mic rating. The scale was from 1/2 a mic to 5 mics, 5 was rarely seen but the greats were awarded. Nas’ verse was awarded 5 mics and to me is one of the most amazing verses I’ve ever heard. I still remember reading the lyrics like “wow, how the hell does he do it?” You should review that song if you really want to hear a word smith at his finest.

Murda Muzik is such an interesting album juxtaposed with The Infamous. The sounds are so rich and refined on MM and really shows Havoc’s growth in his production along with P’s increasingly sophisticated lyrical approach. The Realest with Kool G Rap on MM is my favorite Mobb track and is rarely brought up in discussions about their music.

Almost 30 years later and I still hear this in my head when I pass by Queensbridge (which is all the time). Edit: if you wanna dig into the next Mobb album, check out Hell on Earth (Front Lines). It has a similar nihilistic vibe as Shook Ones and Survival.

I recommend "You Can Never Feel My Pain" (2000) - a Prodigy solo track about his sickle cell anemia. Really paints a picture of how it affected his worldview. I know your Dad likes 50 Cent so another one is "Pearly Gates" featuring 50 Cent (2006). You have to find the uncensored version on youtube due to Prodigy's anti-religious sentiment in the last verse.

this song has aged well.
every time I hear this song it takes me through decades of me listening to rap because SO MUCH of it has been sampled in so many times. All these other songs pop up in my head and I'm going "oh, right I haven't heard THAT one in a while.."
Y’all need to react to the whole album. I bet pops will love it! 🤩
On the Queensbridge theme you need to show your dad Cormega. The illest poet out there! Start with Beautiful Mind or The Saga Remix
great how your dad learned about the hip hop scene. Great Reactions❤️👍🏼🤞🏼
This will forever be one of the top rap songs. 💯💯 quiet storm is my fav.
Was never a fan of reaction channels before you guys, really enjoy what you do! How about some The Roots? Live instruments with rap might provide something of a middle ground… The Seed 2.0, Now or Never, When the People Cheer are among my faves.
I like you guys a lot Enjoy how dad appreciates old school rap Long time listener Go Kia
You have do this whole album bro, pure fire.
I would love for you guys to do The Realest off of the Murda Muzik album. The Kool G. Rap verse is mind blowing. Prodigy's verse is amazing too.

YES! My favorite Mobb track … “My fifth's a organ shifter, the human organism lifter / You'll be hearin organs if ya leavin orphans, if ya / Let these fours hit ya where the Lord split ya” - one of the greatest verses in the history of the genre
You should have your pops react to "Drink away the pain" from this very album Dad will enjoy the creativity
4:17 woooooow I didn’t know this was used in Dance with the Devil- I knew I heard it somewhere but thought it was a movie. Glad I watched this
The sound of my BX teenage years!!!!❤
This is my fav song!
You have to do Give Up The Goods from this same album it is so raw your dad would love it!!!!
i love this vibe, wish my dad was alive so i can play him stuff
You guts should react to Prodigys album hegelian dialectic it's heavily underrated

Thanks, people are sleeping on this album. As long as I love the HNIC trilogy, this one is deeper
Great vid, thank you!
Absolute classic
Love your videos I always get something I did know even though I thought I knew the artist or the track. It is so refreshing. When are you guys reacting to some BlackStar , Mos Def ? please 🙏 Or even Slum Village ?
I gonna keep asking for you to possibly do 'Bridging The Gap' by Nas featuring his Jazz muscian dad Olu Dara. I think you guys would like as its a mixture of Jazz/Blues/Hip-hop.
Now that your dad knows the "half way crooks" you gotta have him react to 8 mile 😅😅
yessss i lovee this song
There’s a video showing the sample breakdown for shook one pt2 and it just goes to show how genius havoc is.
One of my favs ❤
mobb deep featuring nas and raekwon = eye for an eye
Great reaction.More.mobb please
Pleaaase more mobb deep reactions
Had this album twice played the first one so many times it got messed up, this is a classic hip hop album it plays like a movie.
Another great choice for analysis! Still waiting for GZA to get the treatment. Ideally Liquid Swords album but also for a single track that showcases GZA's intelligence try The Spark on your dad.

He gotta do the Wu as a group while he does Tical. Liquid Swords and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx at the same time. Would be so lit!
I knew this song when i played getting up ps2
Story telling at its finest….
Mos def - auditorium Would love to see you and your dad react to that
P died from choking on an egg. Hospital didn't monitor him enough for oxygen levels due to his condition from sickle cell. Some BS.
Mobb Deep, "Rare Species" 🔥🔥🔥 A Super-Classic!
Sickest duo in hip hop history. Producer + emcee. Even as a producer, havoc still could kick rhymes. These are grimey lyrics with edge. Nothing nice, dark themes. It’s a certain energy that’s hard to describe.

Can't forget Eric B and Rakim, but I agree with another comment on here as Outkast being number 1.
The infamous is legit in my top 5 O.A.T, P and Hav were only kids when they released this sick classic album
Prodigy was one of the greatest MC’s
I recommend "You Can Never Feel My Pain" (2000) - a Prodigy solo track about his sickle cell anemia. Really paints a picture of how it affected his worldview. I know your Dad likes 50 Cent so another one is "Pearly Gates" featuring 50 Cent (2006). You have to find the uncensored version on youtube due to Prodigy's anti-religious sentiment in the last verse.
If he enjoyed nas and mobb deep hed really like electric relaxation by a tribe called quest (queens), or runnin/4 better or 4 worse remix by the pharcyde (LA)
Off the same album, play (Just Step Prelude) straight through to the end of Give Up the Goods. It’s a beautiful story/experience. However Trife Life and then off the Hell on Earth album More Trife Life is another good combination. Blood sport is another amazing track off of Hell on Earth, if you just want the feel of a single.
I love the imprint we made in Hip Hop. #queensbridge4life "Essential Elements"= Queensbridge's own Tragedy Khadafi & Jae Supreme Shout out to Queensbridge legacy Marley Marl, MC Shan, Roxanne Shante, Craig G, Nas, DJ Hot Day, Blaq Poet, Nature.... The list goes on, and we still "Do it out in da park..." (MC Shan voice)
above the clouds by Gangstarr is a must!!!!
Would be interested to hear your Dads thoughts on Group Home - Supa Star.
Gotta do the whole album bro. That album ain't no joke.
Dad... I'm impressed
Damien- dmx should be on the list and eye for an eye another mob deep banger
QTip from A Tribe Called Quest helped Havoc with this album. You guys should do some ATCQ reviews. One of the best hip hop groups ever
Everyone should listen to Prodigy’s audiobook it’s on KZread! It’s amazing his story is crazy
🔥 🔥 🔥
Naughty by nature- Yoke the joker.
Please could you do where ya heart at it’s so good
Maybe you haven’t heard it before but react to Yoke the Joker from Naughty by Nature… Eminem even credited it for making him realize how many more ways you could rhyme instead of always on beat letting it rhyme within the sentences too! Really dope tho!
I suggest to react to "You never feel my pain", which is the closer to Prodigy's debut solo album "HNIC". He talks about his struggles with his disease, and you can better understand where he's coming from.
Fun Fact: In his 1996 album, "It Was Written," Nas actually featured Mobb Deep in the pen-ultimate track, "Live N- Rap."

Prodigy has also featured on Self Consciense as well
Gang Starr - moment of truth
You guys should do Drink Away the Pain it is definitely different and features Q-Tip. You also should do Eye 4 an Eye featuring Nas & Raekwon…
There is also reference to Dilated Peoples - Worst comes to worst ... I think that's no question if you should do that one too

You’re joking right 😅 The Dilated People song is from 2001 and obviously samples the Mobb Deep song
