    @@kyroseven True. But i think the "Shook Ones" beat is over rated. Personally, i thought "Temperture's Rising", "Survival of the Fittest" and "Star of your Ending" were better beats just on that album alone. But that's just my opinion.

    Is this played or programmed. So 1) hardest beat to play live by a drummer, 2) hardest beat to program by a composer? I don’t know much about Hip-Hop but not a beat that stands out for me compared with other genre’s.

    @@beawsbiz Calling a beat "hard" is slang for saying it is good/catchy/cool. There's a lot more nuance to what makes a beat "hard" that I'm not able to verbalize , but high-level you can think of it as a synonym for "good" or "awesome" and I'm pretty sure that's the usage of "hard" that D was going for.

    ​@@CW043 1. In any order, 2Pac, Biggie, Nas and Mobb Deep are yet the best ever to sync rap lyrics with beat production. They're definitely yet the best MC's to do it. Eminem is overrated by the same people who are destroying rap music and whose money and resources fund the record labels. If I counted 50 top rappers ever to do it, I don't see him on that list.

    I think one of the main reasons this beat was so iconic was because for the longest time, nobody could figure out what the sample was on the piano line. Throughout the 90s everybody and their mother was hunting the sample

    So happy you guys @rockreacts reacted to this video/song. It's a hip hop classic. It speaks to the struggle of survival and the mentality needed to survive in a harsh situation or area. Mobb Deep pulls no punches and expresses fully the mindstate and trappings of the hood. At the same time the cinematography, atmosphere and lyrics tell a deeper tale. Brashness in the face of oblivion with no quarter given.

    HAVOC is one of the greatest hiphop producer/rappers ever, this is one of the most classic/greatest instrumentals of all time ever produced , in 100 years this song will still be as good as it was in 95. Compared to any songs by any mumble rappers in the last 5-10 years time.

    this Mobb Deep beat is legendary. Even if you THINK you only like rock music or metal, most folks will hear this and understand how great it is. The two dudes in the group, Havok and Prodigy (RIP) are basically telling you, "You're not tough enough to come around here, we'll k*ll you." It's not THE best beat in hip-hop, but it's ONE OF the best.

    “It Ain’t Easy” Tupac A great summery/west coast vibe production with some awesome writing. Loved seeing you guys do this track. Had to click immediately lol. Love that line you brought up John, also love “Do I deserve to live? Am I gonna burn in Hell for all the things I did?” Was always a line that was so deceptively simple for such young guys to be thinking. Glad you guys liked the track.
