The "end's" of hero society Dabi was referring to was villain and Hero. That once you become a villain in societies eyes they will never let you be anything but a villain ever again. You wont be seen as a hero you will be nothing but the villain. So In Dabi's mind Shoto cant save him because society wont let Dabi be saved because Dabi will all ways be a villain To it and so such a black and white society shouldn't exist and should just be burned to the ground. Effectively Dabi is spouting the sentiments of Shigaraki. That a society that allows its people to be push so far to one side of the hero society spectrum with no other recourse but be labeled a villain and thus act like a villain. Then this society shouldn't exist and it should be destroyed and made anew.

Dabi’s arc is not near complete Truth, he still has some backstory in how he might be part Nomu plus he has to confront his mother again as well

I hope that Dabi somehow survives because honestly I don't feel like him dying for real would be a satisfying end for that plot line. If there's going to be redemption of endeavor where he doesn't die but his victim does die it just gives me bad vibes.

@@3dsmaster537 Dabi has been a victim the entire story. He is just the bad victim because he chose to fight back and seek vengence when no one was there for him.

@@porcelina956 i mean that's fair, but he can't just claim 'victim' when he's willingly torching innocent people and literal children. If he attacked only the Todoroki family, then sure, that would be reasonable vengeance. But taking it out on everybody regardless of involvement doesnt really make me sympathize with his origin. Enji isnt even completely at fault. We saw that he tried to get Touya to stop using his fire because he knew it was hurting him, but do to Touya's obsession (which yes is partly Enji's fault) he didnt back down

Dabi/Touya haa been being set up for redemption for many, many chapters. He may do villainous things and say he doesn't care but is a contradictory character. After all he burned down Toga's house where she was labeled a monster and neglected, he ran to Twice's rescue, he has stuck by his found family and still cares for his biological family. Shoto is the perfect one to save Dabi because they are both so similar. Dabi can help bring down All For One and make up for his crimes. No one is ever too far gone. No Dabi will not die because that would be lazy writing he also won't be imprisoned for life. All for One had a role in what became of Touya.

as someone with brothers, after knowing my guy literally been doing genocide, i could probably fight them lol. I've liked this chapter more than the past arcs

@@TruthHero i mean yeah, my biggest problem with MHA hasn't been the todoroki storyline, it's more been Deku and the villains getting nerfed/ their actions not really having impact

I’m curious if Shouto can somehow snuff out Dabi’s flame permanently, I don’t know how it would work but maybe the cold flame is pressed up against Dabi’s heart affecting his ignition system for him to start a fire at all

It's possible, maybe Horikoshi will go for that ATLA technique where Aang takes Ozai's firebending away. After all, Shoto is a bit based on Zuko.

I might have to reread however Shouta was kind of locked in a gilded cage cause Endeavor was forcing him to train and the other children were separated and spared from his harassment so I don’t think they really had time to bond like human beings or brothers

I want dabi to be saved and maybe end up in a prison, surprisingly I want him to survive this...I know out of the 3 main villians every one is thinking that dabi might be the one to bite the dust, but I dont want that..if todoroki is to become the hero of his family, I dont think it will be by touya dying, it has to involve touya reuniting with the family in some way, right?!....but we will see..

So you are saying that Shoto cant be a hero if Dabi dies. . . That's not fair to Shoto at all Dabi made a choice saving someone doesn't JUST mean keeping them alive some times saving someone means saving their souls. Dabi's soul is tainted by his ill will and hatred and anger if Touya could in his final moments let go of his hate and in those final moments ask for forgiveness then Shoto has save Touya.

@@darklightimages ohno, the way I meant is the way I see it, I want Dabi to reunite with his family, that's the ending I prefer for shoto's character arc closure rather than his death, sure he is not really responsible if dabi dies due to burning himself so much..but it would be quite a bittersweet end to shoto's character arc, which I personally dont want to be the case, now some people may prefer a bittersweet end..but I personally dont..

I kinda heard someone in twitter and reddit say that maybe Rei or most likely Fuyumi and Natsuo might appear in the middle of the fight. I think that this is a good idea, but I kinda doubt that this will happen because the main focus of this battle is both Shoto and Dabi. In that case we'll probably see Dabi get beaten and "saved" by his younger brother instead of him getting talk no jutsu'd out nowhere by his own family.

Shoto becoming like Dabi? This close to the ending? With how caring and friendly Shoto is now? Nope, not gonna happen, if you said that back during the sports festival when Shoto was at his darkest stage then I would have questioned the possibility, but now? Nope

As the middle child it's my job to keep both the youngest and oldest in check and if it comes down to it let the sadistic sibling showdown begin.

This was a great chapter even tho I am sad about Dabi but I would like Horikoshi explain more about Dual Quirks like Shoto Ex How common is this type of Quirks, Is it more common/easier for element quirks to fuse together, Is Element generation quirks more common compared Element controlling quirks like Masaki Mizushima Aka Manual Hero, Why haven't he shown at least another Hero with Element Generation quirk or Dual Element quirk etc...?

OUR HERO HAS RETURNED

The thematic and metaphorical implications of Shoto putting out Davis flames, that were "ignited" by Endeavor and always were a metaphor for Dabi's crumbling mental state, with his new ability that he developed by rejecting Endeavor's vision of him. They are too great for Toya to die here. I think. The whole point here is that Shoto saved him from Endeavor's curse. There is no way in hell Toya doesn't at least get a few words in before kicking it. In every other story that would mean that Dabi gets a Darth Vader death, where he has a change of heart half a minute before passing. But MHA's narrative puts too much of an emphasis on saving people for that to happen. Idk, I guess Dabi can end up dead dead, with how messy the story was lately, but that would feel wrong. Especially if Endeavor gets a full redemption and stays alive at the end.

Plot twist: shoto was actually fighting twice's clone as dabi....

Would be funny, but no way a Twice clone could take that damage without breaking. However, Toga still has Twice's blood!

I feel like dabi isn't going to die, purely because shoto is there and his ice quirk is well an ice quirk In a sense he could keep dabi stable. However I do think that soul saving thing will come around specially All for one and deku. Because personally I feel somehow All for one is deku's father and that reveal couples with a mirror to when Darth vader die would be one hell of a thing for deku as a character

@@TruthHero true tbh i feel like dabi's quirk is a sort of stored energy deal. He can't die from burning because the more he burns himself the more energy gets stored up and once enough is stored up it'll heal him when he is supposed to burn to death.

Yes, I can. My childhood was every bit as brutal as the imaginary one depicted in MHA...if not moreso. My relationship with my siblings was even more segregated. I've had violent, bloody fights with them and actually knocked them out when they attacked me. I was always on defense and moved over 2000 miles away to avoid ever dealing with them again. I find it easy to relate and sympathize with the characters as they've been created.

I do want Dabi to be saved by Shoto!

As someone with a lot of brothers, I could fight none bc they are all older than me and stronger so I would die under 5.3 seconds

I really want dabi to stay alive and get a chance maybe he'll get regenerated and i really wanted to see the battle between dabi and Endeavour not shouto but what to do i am sure he won't die because ther IS no benefit in bringing someone dead to life and then just kill him again .it's unfair .

Ok....here we go again. In my humble opinion, its more like, Dabi is seeking forgiveness, more so that redemption. I mean, how can you come back from seeking redemption, since Dabi is one responsible for all the pain, anguish, and trauma, all for a simple reason called "Revenge" or "Vengeance". What's even worse, is that he already knew that what he was doing was all wrong, and went ahead and did' it anyway, regardless of the consequences. Putting him in prison is not going to resolve his personal issue, for sitting in a prison cell, and reflecting upon all of his actions, is not going to turn back time. He's going to be dead anyway, due to the condition of his body, and the amount of abuse he caused on himself, just by using his most powerful abilities right from the start. As far as forgiveness is concerned, that is going to be the tallest of all tasks here. Afterall, he burned down too many bridges, and none more difficult to build back. Solution, help the heroes, until the threat has been averted/thwarted, and then disappear off the face of the earth, and never appear again, unless its really important to come back, or until he has been completely forgotten of his existance. @@TruthHero That would be left up to the imagination of the writer himself. Otherwise, I would say, either an isolated place, where there is very minimum activities, where he can start over, or a place where he can commit very minimum to no harm at all. For example, a remote island, with all of the supplies that can be provided for him to live out his days, and every once in a while receive minimum social contact with what family and friends that remained/left behind.

Dabi has had such a tragic past, he needs to just live his life i honestly feel so bad for him. i started sobbing reading this fight- smh- him ending up like vader would be a nightmare for me (imo)

I think Dabi will go out, he's going to increase his temperature so high and he's going to burn himself out (literaly), he's too far gone, he won't go give up

I think dabi has more fire power but shoto has ice and hot and his body is ok with his fire but dabi is great for a short fight but this was not a short fight there is reason why dabi fire is blue not for looks it burns hotter than shotos

Dabi will break free and perform his suicide attack Prominence Burn, but Tenya will swoop in to save Shoto from the conflagration, that will be the opportune moment Tenya redeems himself from his inadequacy in the Joint Training arc. In ch.351 there is a panel of Iida with a panicked expression remembering Shōto’s words in ch.342 thanking his friends for being there for him, this foreshadows Tenya, who hasn't done anything relevant yet, performing a rescue move on Shōto. Dabi will most likely break free from Shōto’s technique and launch his suicide attack Prominence Burn on Shōto before the latter could suppress his flames again. That will be the moment when Tenya uses his speed to save Shōto from the attack’s line of fire.Tenya's moment is now to rectify his inadequacy regarding helping Shōto during the Joint Training arc when he lamented he wasn’t fast enough back then to help Shōto. The danger of which is the possibility of Iida’s engines melting because of the heat when he rescues Shōto from Dabi’s attack. Dabi committing suicide however is a narrative defeat for Shōto who had no intention of killing his brother and wanted to apprehend him alive, so this will be the perfect opportunity for Horikoshi to introduce a Quirk awakening for Dabi. Shoto will think Dabi killed himself, but he gets a quirk awakening and reforms from the ashes. In the MHA visual exhibit last year that hinted Aoyama's betrayal, Dabi was depicted regrowing a few strands of his red hair, this is highly suspect because it was shown in the Manga that Touya's hair completely turned white by the age of 8, and him being depicted with red strands of hair as an adult seems to indicate regeneration. Since Shoto already planted the seeds of internal conflict on Touya. Dabi will abandon his fight with Shōto and go to Endeavor’s location. Dabi goes to Endeavor, have a heart-to-heart talk, then Dabi will join the fight against AFO. given Horikoshi's propensity to keep the heroes hands clean, I don't think any of the heroes will actually kill AFO like with the Hawks and Twice situation which was already a scandalous act in-universe. So it'll fall on Dabi's hands to disintegrate AFO's body. But Dabi might die in the process similar to what happened to Darth Vader turning on Palpatine but dying in the end Naturally AFO will transfer his consciousness inside Shigaraki, when Deku talk no jutsus the child Tenko, it will be Shigaraki who will ultimately destroy AFO's consciousness/vestige and the AFO quirk itself but Shigaraki will also die in the process. Keeping Deku’s and the heroes hands clean from killing anyone. It will also be poetic irony for AFO that two of his "creations" the two children he “saved” namely Dabi and Shigaraki, will be the ones to put an end to his existence and his Quirk once and for all.

@@TruthHero The Phoenix Quirk is awakening. If you noticed after the ice thawed on Dabi the skin area around the glowing orb has already regenerated it’s no longer burnt skin. Tenya will still perform a rescue move on Shōto, probably through adrenaline rush Tenya could use his Engines one more time to save Shōto when Dabi gets back up and launches a surprise attack on Shōto.

I wish my boy would survive. But honestly, I don't see how at this point. Those burns are huge. Oh, my boy, you deserved so much better >_ (At the moment, Bakugo and Dabi/Toya are my favorites.)
