▼ Da Vinci Pro 1.0 and 3-in-1 REPAIR of the PNEUMATIC PUSH FITTING at the EXTRUDER

Hi Everyone,
A well known problem for the Da Vinci Pro machines is that the pneumatic push fitting that holds the PTFE tube in the back of the printer, gets loose.
The only way to handle this repair correctly, is to replace the part.
In my case, I didn't have a 5mm pneumatic push fitting at hand, but a whole lot of 6mm pneumatic push fittings.
In this video I show you how I used those bigger, but far less expensive parts, to repair my machine.

I just kept the top housing off of the feeder. I've already had to replace the push-grip for the 3rd time, so this'll save me the hassle of tearing all the other bits off. For some reason, the pins inside the push-grip are 'disappearing' :S Which then causes the PTFE tube to be pushed out. Ordered some new grips today so hope they'll be stronger.

Hi Don, Search for the pushfittings with the blue caps on it, they are way better then the black ones. Also, print one of these: www.thingiverse.com/thing:1937713 Now you can put the housing back and minimise dust etc. Good luck.

You are correct its a tap, the other part you do not have in that kit is the die.

I think you will have to fix it as I have not ever seen an update from the guys at XYZPrinting at the hardware side of the printer.

I’ve had mine for 3 years. Good laser engraver. Terrible 3D printer.
