He grew up alone on the streets of the Phillipines from age 7. He earned enough at a bowling alley resetting pins to earn $1 a day for food and would sleep on the streets alone at night. He said when he was lonely or afraid he would sing. God I am sure loved to hear that beautiful voice. He discovered at 18 he could sing the soprano voice and was working at a chicken farm feeding and watering chicken and so he would sing to them. I just love this guy so much!

Marcelito met Celine after he appeared on the Ellen Degeneres's show. Ellen sent him to Vegas to meet Celine. Celine was Marcelito's idol growing up. He has never had any vocal lessons. God given talent and lots of singing over and over - he is phenomenal. I met and saw him at a concert in North Carolina last year - I loved every minute - he loves to cut up with his audience - he is a comedian. His wife is his intrepreter as he speaks very little English. He sings in 7 languages but can't speak in them. God blessed him with such a talent and he has made the most of it.

The Wish Bus performances are by established stars in the Philippines. Yes, this performance is one of the best renditions of The Power of Love. It got noticed by Celine Dion. He's an amazing self-taught singer.

fan facts marcelito never have a formal background of musical school or music education he learn how to sing he thought himself by just listening the song funny thing is he discover that he can immitate female voice during those times when he was cleaning chiken manure where he was working at 7 years old because he was orphant just to survive a day with 1 dollar a day as his salary god is good that marcelito figured it out during his younger days

Just kidding, although I know it's not something to joke about. I recently read that Celine has some huge health problems related to her voice. Maybe she should consider hiring Marcelito as her "double" on stage. After all, what he does with his voice is beyond any scale. From the moment I heard "the Power of Love" performed by him, I had a huge dilemma as to which version was better. Either his or Celine's... Incredible talent. You can sing well and have a nice voice, but to imitate such great voices as Celine or even Andrea, you need to have balls of steel. And jokingly, when I listen to his performance of this song, I change its title to "the Power of Voice"
