D&D Terrain and Miniatures: The Ultimate Visual Experience
Nerdarchy explores using terrain in TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons
We look at scaling simple and inexpensive minis and terrain options to complex and expensive options. There are different companies that supply different types of dnd terrain and minis: Heroforge, 1985 Games, Splattered Ink Games, WizKids, Skinny Mini, and more.

RP Archive, Okay Hobby Time, Black Magic Craft (obviously), Rae'chel Does Wonders, Tabletop Witchcraft, Wylochs Armory, Seb Makes Stuff, Dinky Dioramas, Devs and Dice, Haunts Wargaming.... So many great crafting channels if that's what you're in to Oh also Atmoseeker really changed my games if you want to bring the immersion levels up.
For affordable maps, you could draw them in advance on the back of wrapping paper. Alot of them have one inch square grids on the back already. Only real downsize is if you don't want the players to see the entire map and covering with sheets of paper can be a pain.
Big shout out to Nerdforge! Also my gf is a patron of Cave of Crafting. Damien is the nicest dude ever, and they got a really supportive community.

While Nerdforge is awesome, I wouldn't really put her as a more of a tabletop crafter (same as Skill Tree, great crafting, but not quite what most are looking for there).
I'm definitely on Team Ted here. I love minis and maps.
Great way to cover the topic guys. I try to create very immersive 3d adventures for my players every session and they love it. Focus on the types of minis and terrain you will use most often first and always bear in mind if you have the time to set it up and the storage space to keep it in. Organization is important with minis and terrain. If you can't find it, you won't use it.
Haven't played with minis since my Warhammer days in the 90s
RP Archive and Black Magic Crafts are top notch. Anyone new needs should start with the Godfather, DM Scotty. You can start crafting for serouisly 10 bucks, and he is the TTRP crafting version of Bob Ross.
Black Magic Craft is my favorite

I use Monster Fight Club for wilderness scatter, Warlock Tiles for dungeons and houses and Dwarven Forge for caverns. Then a mix for scatter
I use blank Shrinky Dinks paper and draw and bake it, as per the instructions. A great way to make custom flat minis.
Hey Ted what type of stuff do you use to protect your minis when you travel
Anything that keeps people from playing on VTT's is good by me!
Get a 3D resin printer and get Raging Hero’s STL files.
