I love that you have chosen to keep your "stats" to yourself. CF and PFTs aren't some competition. I have Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, and my MS journey has been filled with a lot of chronic pain. I have friends who will say something about their back hurting or their knee being really sore or whatever. And then they realize that they just mentioned their pain around me and begin backpedaling, which looks something like this: "Oh listen to me complaining about my back pain. It's nothing compared to the pain you feel everyday, all the time." I imagine you recognize this in some form or another. My response is that it isn't a competition. The level of my pain, whatever it may be that day, doesn't make your pain unimportant or invalid. The same with my level of disability. I think you have made a wise choice to keep the numbers to yourself, and I fully support that, and your reasons why you do so. Choose Joy and laugh every day!

When I was young they tested me on Cystic Fibrosis too because I was always underweight, kept coughing etc. but I don't have it. Now they don't know what's wrong with me. I found a wheelchair by the way, for free! :) They found "something" now ib my ergonometry test, so they gonna think what they can do for me. I want to make youtube videos/vlogs too about my sickness when I get the diagnosis but I don't think it will be interesting enough, cause I can't really do things, I'm not going outside so often. I love you guys!

Great explanation of CF, Mary. You guys are so wonderful sharing your everyday life with the world to view. And as always, keep up the great attitude. Which I can imagine may be rough at times. God bless.

I heard on the cf animation video cf patients need a lot of calories because their bodies don't absorb calories well (just like they don't absorb nutrients well), so they can eat a lot of calories without gaining weight. God bless you Peter and Mary. I pray for you, Mary's sister, your families, and cf patients when I watch your videos.

That is so interesting to hear about what your diet should consist of. I didn't know that. I'm glad you did this little Q&A information segment.

Ollie is so cute! Currently I have a 4lb chihuahua as my service dog but in 6-7 weeks I will be getting my new service dog. She's a chocolate lab pup and I will have her custom trained for mobility, panic, PTSD as well as some guide dog training. I love my chihuahua but he's way to small for mobility work. :) CF is a difficult illness to have and it seems that Peter, Ollie and you have a good system. Are you eligible for a lung transplant?

I have a question for you two! What is your favorite memory as a couple?! Do you each have different ones, or is it one that you both immediately think of as the best.

What is THAT point? Like what would it look like? Not being able 2 walk w/out losing breath, coughing so much a day, going so long w/out any improvements n your levels (health)?

Not knowing your pft makes me feel cloSer to u. Sometimes on cf blogs when everyone says they're numbers first, it separates ppl into levels of severity and often those separations are nonsense. I like that are pfts maybe very different but I get to still feel in common with u and it's easier to relate. I just found ur channel and I'm obsessed, I'll have questions but for now, What mutations do u have? Are u on kalydeco? Have u been in any studies recently? - maybe link if u answered these already. Haven't watched every video but I'll get there soon lol My sister is seen in Boston bc she is in a study, and she says its a super cool center!

chayasorah815 Thank you for saying that. I think the way you said that is how I feel about the numbers too. They can cause a separation when comparison comes into play. Thanks for supporting our decision in not sharing the numbers :) My mutations are Delta 508 and V 520 F I'm not on Kalydeco I am not eligible for many studies because of the severity of my liver disease...but I was in quite a few studies (that didn't have anything to do with the Liver) in 2011 and 2012. It was a great job for me :) I love doing studies when I can! And one of the reasons I love doing studies is because I love the research team in Boston :) Thanks for saying hi!

sharona dellow Are you able to go over there with her? If so, maybe make a couple trips over there...like one time you could go over there with everything you need for a spa day...finger nail polish, a bucket for a foot bath, some cute cups for lemonade, and some nice music. Another time you could go over with a party in a box, and set up balloons, streamers and grab some cute plates from the dollar store, and bring a cupcake for each of you and some doritos and have a party. Or you could have a movie night. I'd say just act like normal life at home and have a party. If she's not feeling well, sit in bed and look at pinterest together. If she is napping, sit with her and nap, or watch youtube while she naps. Just making her feel as normal as possible is good :)
