Lyrics:
Lyin' in my bed, I hear the clock tick and think of you
Caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new
Flashback, warm nights almost left behind
Suitcase of memories
Time after
[Verse 2]
Sometimes you picture me, I'm walkin' too far ahead
You're callin' to me, I can't hear what you've said
Then you say, "Go slow", I fall behind
The second hand unwinds
[Chorus]
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, (I'll be waiting) I will be waiting
Time after time
[Verse 3]
After my picture fades and darkness has turned to gray
Watchin' through windows, you're wondering if I'm okay
Secrets stolen from deep inside
The drum beats out of time
[Chorus]
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
[Instrumental Break]
[Bridge]
You say, "Go slow," I fall behind
The second hand unwinds
[Chorus]
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, (I'll be waiting) I will be waiting
Time after time
[Outro]
Time after time

And I walk with the Lord, not a 20 something wildman making big money and wearing custom made suites carrying around alot of cash with fast cars and, well, fast everything. I'm blessed. FYI in addition to starting to play dulcimer about 15 years ago, one of the reasons her style changed is that she learned how to take care of her voice. She was encouraged to sing outside her range when she was younger, and sounded great doing it. But it almost ended her career. She’s able to emote a lot more in her natural register.

I met Cyndi in Tempe, AZ, in the mid-80's. While she was in town, I escorted her around and protected her anonymity. She was so kind and gracious. I thoroughly enjoyed spending these hours with her and being granted the privilege of getting to know her on a personal level. She even told her crew that I had a nice @#$! She was funny, thoughtful, and engaging, which is absolutely reflected in her music. I am so pleased to see that she is doing well.

1/30/22 What’s this almost 40 years old now? The lyrics are the best part of this song, and the way she has the music for this performance makes it better. Absolutely a timeless song that keeps giving me goosebumps after all these years. I was 10 when it was released…

I wasn't even alive when this was released but grew up listening to music like this because of my mum and this is definitely the best version of the song, she does the same one on the Howard stern show from 95. She has a hell of a voice and a fantastic musician I am always surprised by her voice.
