Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I had a problem with my Cyclone Rake wagging around behind my tractor. See what I did to correct the problem.

I have one of these too...love it. Just a thought.....since you rarely un-hook the cyclone rake, why not just bolt it tightly to that bracket so that there is zero movement. The pins are only there if you separate the two machines.

Thanks for your comment. I actually do unhook it quite often. I use the tractor for just cutting grass and other tasks. Bolting the 2 together would not be a good idea because it needs to have some clearance in the tractor bracket to allow for up and down movement when driving over uneven terrain. I made the holes in the bracket several thousandths oversize to allow for this. Good thought though!

@@sheamileto7895 Would you believe Ebay! I picked it up from the seller who worked for a Deere dealership in southern Indiana about 12 years ago. I have another 425 that I bought from a guy who lives 3 miles from me about 4 years ago.

Two words. Hearing Protection! I just got mine this season and I use 3M headphones, and when I got done my ears were still ringing. This machine is LOUD! I'm going to complement my 3M headphones with some EarPeace motorcycle ear plugs to eliminate the noise altogether. I'd recommend you do the same my friend, unless of course you have a nagging wife ;)

I've had my cyclone rake for going on my 4th season. I use the king pin quick release hitch pins and mine has been great no excessive wear. The provided hitch adapter has oval holes for some reason. My new mower woodland power products wouldn't supply me a hitch adapter so I made my own and made the holes round and it tows good behind my new mower. I got a Commander with the standard wheels.

I've been towing mine around for maybe 10 years I guess. I think the holes in the adapter were made a little oval to allow for some play when going over hilly terrain which I have a lot of! I made the holes in the tractor hitch several thousandths oversize to allow for this and it seems to work. Since I had a fall season last year to test it I am happy to report that the improvement was awesome!
