Things I'd like to see explored in a sequel: 1. The moon stuff 2. Looming, all-out corp war 3. The fall of the black wall 4. Mysterious, powerful figures/groups you don't quite meet. They have tons of cool stuff to chew on that would make for an insane, grandiose story.

I hope to god we get to play as V again although since I believe that in canon Johnny stays with Alt beyond the black wall they’ll really need to fill that voice cause a good amount of the fun in cyberpunk is doing random gigs and open world things with Johnny appearing leaning on a wall offering some choice words for V he’s just so cool and dynamic I wonder how they’ll remedy that

@@WonderbrutNah V basically dead or out of commission, even the one where Johnny takes over, he leaves the city to find himself and not screw up a second shot at life. Even the NUSA ending essentially leaves him off as a NPC. V’s story is finished one way or another. Just another legend of Night City that vanished.

About the end of the video. Sony delisted Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation store not because it was broken but because CDPR announced that they will be issuing refunds on PS4 or Xbox One, which went against Sony's policy on refunds. Most people just assumed that it got pulled out of the PlayStation store because it was broken, and well, that's kinda the reason, but what most people started believing is that Sony was protecting consumers from buying a broken game. It wasn't like that.

If project Orion doesn’t start with V in the crystal place taking out the angels methodically one on one (since I doubt V can take them all at once) with songbird and mr blue eyes giving you comms then I don’t want it 😭 it’s obvious with phantom liberty that the canon ending is the sun with V having sent songbird up to the crystal palace so I just hope to god they don’t blue ball us and continue their story.

Maaaajor bummer. The quality of Phantom Liberty makes this cancellation a legitimate TRAGEDY 😢.....

Not at all. This potential DLC would simply delay the release of the sequel, for no good reason imo since the game is very much complete now and a moon space station would probably make more sense if it was used throughout the game, or as the intro. I don't think it would be worth building that once the main game is over and people who still play the game probably prefer hanging out in NC.

Well if you're a freak like me and read all the shards in the game and email conversations, even the TV advertisements, there were so much mention about space, crystal palace, and the moon colonies, so I believe this leak is probably real. They were really setting up a moon or at least a space DLC which is a shame that we didn't get it. But on the flipside, this gives me hope that we can finally go to space on the sequel. Crystal Palace is like The Citadel in the Cyberpunk world, and Mass Effect took a lot of inspiration from its lore. So I'm so hyped for that.

@@jefflukey123 Near Orbit was published in 1989, Deep Space in 1993. People forget Cyberpunk is an old tabletop RPG with decades of sourcebooks.

What makes me think that Mass Effect took a lot of inspiration from Cyberpunk's lore is that the mass drivers in the Cyberpunk lore share some similarities to the mass relays in the Mass Effect games in that they're both used to transport material or vessels from one point to another. also, if you read the Earth codex in Mass Effect, it describes of a world that is very similar to Cyberpunk. There's also the Afterlife Bar in Omega.

would be wise to use the moon expansion as a starting point or sorts of mind , in orion at least. would be itneresting but it wouldnt be a waste of resources they had put into this map but we only see so much. who know what else they added into this later (would be nice for this current but they may have been using 2077 as a base to see how it would fit in and realizing it would fit into orion better)

​@@desi_panzica6474yeah a starting point for the sequel would be nice. But I really don't see why people would be that excited about it being a DLC or anything late game. Imo the main character of cyberpunk is night city, and having a moon base part once you've experienced the whole game would be kind of counter productive imo. Like aside from a few interesting quest, the main gameplay loop happens in NC.

We knew there was a second DLC planned that was scrapped. We never knew what it was for. Shame that this game came out so early than it was suppose to cause they had to cut so much stuff due to the deadline. A district where the rich people lived, Militech possibly being a place for a fixer type of character for V, also the Militech building as with tons of other buildings that had functional elements in them that weren’t finished, the train system(which did get added later on), and I’m just scratching the surface. Here’s hoping the sequel can reintegrate a lot of the stuff that had to be cut back in.

Nah, it id not come early . It had almost 10years of development! And the foundation that is shaky ... Hopefully the sequel will be a top tier RPG (not action adventure like CP2077) which can be support as much as Witcher 3

Yes it did come out too early because it wasn't ready yet. They weren't allowed to delay it anymore because of contracts and the investers forced it to be released on all systems. It only had about 5 years of actual development and they did major overhauls when they added Keanu.​@@ulrichleukam1068

@@route77productions development reset in 2016 completely, they scrapped everything prior. The CEO said there was no pressure to release so I dunno why on earth they released it. An obvious answer would be they just wanted that Last Gen money.

They were even talking about PVP on the moon before the game was released. Never mentioned it again.

​@@SerfinBirdYou don't pause time, you move at super human speeds. So in PvP it would like the other play is moving really fast, although I agree it would be incredibly difficult to implement

I'm in game dev and design school right now. I'd would absolutely love to go work on the next cyberpunk game.

@luca_magna7753 I made a list of studios I'd love to work for. So I know where I want after school. The larger objective has helped me dedicate myself to school so much. I love the art form of making games and how complex making them are. My only gripe about the industry is the influence of micro transactions and how gamers blame the devs for the issues, not the executives at the studio. The ones who actually call the shots.

Dude, there was so much stuff that’s still in the game that was cut. Districts are missing any detail as they were meant to be more fleshed out, the Casino out in the outskirts was suppose to be part of the posh district. Militech was planned to be more present in the game as the building is detailed and sorta functional. I want the sequel to take all these things and implement them.

I still temember Paweł Sasko’s lie that we can expect with Cyberpunk 2077 what we got with Witcher 3, but more. I don’t know how crazy you would have to be to call what we got "more"… Witcher 3 had Two huge DLCs, and with the Netflix FLC it is like 3x more content than what Cyberpunk offered us…

The ending suggested you rob this big casino hotel type space station and you pull off the biggest heist but you just see them floating towards the space station and the credits roll

This DLC was a casualty of the all the time, money and resources spent trying to fix the game for over two years and Phantom Liberty. We could see this DLC get reused for the sequel.

A lot of this stuff is definitely going into the next game. They've already established we're going to be in the middle of a corpo war in-between Arasaka and Militech. The moon will absolutely also be explored.

Wish they'd got the game right first time round so we could've spent resources and time making more DLC over the games lifespan

Given the recent success of Cyberpunk 2077 - I REALLY hope CDPR change their mind & still do the moon DLC!! Would be awesome!!

I imagine we'll see some version of this in the future. Either in the Orion base game or maybe a dlc for that game. Still sucks we didn't get this for 2077 though.

I just think CDPR couldnt get their priorities straight for Cyberpunk. From the huge shift in story focus, reduction of rpg elements and customization to the canceled multiplayer I feel like they did a cart before the horse in terms of marketing and development. In another universe the game was complete with fleshed out life paths/quests, less bugs, the DLCs came out, and a GTA equivalent multiplayer at LEAST released (maybe it would have fared as well as Red Dead Online) This could have supported them for at least a decade if they had the clear intent.

Good thing for Bethesda or else Starfield really would have been cooked on the comparison videos. Honestly moving this to a sequel checks out since the codename is Orion

The casino Storefronts that you can't enter Closed off areas we were suppose to visit The game is in effect finished incomplete sad to say.

This and the new additions to the lore added by Cyberpunk RED makes me feel like there was going to be this big feeling of V fully becoming a sorta legendary persona amongst the other notable names of the Cyberpunk world and making big decisions for the future and rubbing metal elbows with other legends. I'm hesitant to give anything away so be wary of hypothetical spoilers to follow but there's bits and pieces that hint towards avenues for V's longevity and the individuals that might be able to help V with it, individuals who were thought dead but are heavily hinted at living through the same means that could potentially save V. In a way, the events of 2077 kinda prep V perfectly for this future. RED gives me hope that the plot threads that were to carry over into the Moon DLC (the telegraphed Corpo war looming, V bumping into other important names) haven't been abandoned, at least not entirely.

TBH it COULD also just be a mission at the end of PL with some limited exporable map, which makes sense when you know how the story goes, why there would have have been a possibility to go to the moon. One of the pictures between those new assets is literally a very early version of Dogtown. So I assume this would have been part of PL somehow and not a new DLC/Expansion

We still got big expansion. I mean my playthrough before PL was 50 hours, with PL ended up being 83 hours. I imagine PL would have been smaller in scope, maybe 10 hours like Hearts of Stone.

It's disappointing but it would've been tough to outdo Phantom Liberty.

The Arasaka ending takes place in space, and either ending where V survives and she stays in Night City also ends with her going on a mission in space, which is supposed to be like "The biggest job in history" Sad we won't get to see it

Wouldn't be shocked to see a moon map in the next Cyberpunk game. Probably reusing a lot of the concepts they didn't get to use.

I usually lose interest when a game becomes too large to finish, though cyberpunk felt much too short. Its really saddening to know that V & Johnny got robbed of potential content.

Cyberpunk 2 will probably have this as it's named project oreon. Also, I really want a game on the moon for about 2 years now. I even suggested as DLC in dragon's dogma 2 survey. Pragmata was going to do that, but when that game releases I would probably be able to go to the moon myself

The original game sold 25 million. And the expansion only sold 4,3 million. Many people were soured on the first iteration of the game.

Considering Blue eyes makes an appearance in one of Songbirds ending and if V chooses right also appears in Vs ending it's safe to say they planned the moon dlc also featuring blue eyes as maybe their mysterious powerful figure backing V and potentially Songbird. Would also explain why V wasn't hunted into oblivion yet.

I would give my money willingly for another cyberpunk DLC

Damn, just knowing we could’ve had more DLC for such an amazing game brings a tear to my eye 🥲 This plus new game+ would’ve made this game my most favorite game of all time

They could perfectly setup a So Mi return based on your choice in the expansion (much like Witcher 2 & 3 with Letho) with a trip to the moon in the sequel while also continuing the blackwall storyline. This could be perfect

It’ll likely all just get a reskin/redesign for future projects. They clearly want this as part of the narrative.

Look at the bright side guys they have got to make it up to us with the next CP game and thats what im waiting for....hope for a smooth release too..just want these devs to release Complete good games that fans will love.

It's not just a matter of skill, it's also the bajillions of hours it takes to test and fix a thing to make it reliable enough for an open-world ARPG. CDPR had a *lot* of issues with their engine, and ended up having to go all-hands-on-deck just to fix it for years after release, with both The Witcher 3 and Cyperpunk. They're not so much paying for an engine as for the stress-testing and debugging that have already gone into Unreal, so they don't have to spend another entire dev cycle fixing their ish.

Wonder if lucy is still up there, doubt it. Always assumed the 2nd dlc was robbing the crystal palace and that would lead to another ending for V

Release propper mod tools like the new Witcher 3 Mod Editor and get modders to finish off the Moon DLC

while its kinda sad it doesnt bother me that much tbh as im sure most of the ideas they would have had for that dlc are just going to be implemented into Orion

Considering the STELLAR quality of Phantom Liberty it's such a pity this was canned. Oh well, maybe it was fot the best. CP2077 ended in a huge positive note and CPRed recovered from the release fiasco and re-stabilished themselves as one of the VERY few large devs in the world like Larian (even if they are not indie).

It's sad this game is finished sure but I don't think it was truly fleshed out, there's tons to do but it feels like there should be more and I imagine people would have paid, we don't get a lot of great futuristic cities I mean from what I heard the Starfield cities might as well be an alley. They took a cash cow, horribly disfigured it, gave it some great plastic surgery then just wiped their hands and moved on

Them moving away from the red engine makes me sad for 1 thing... mods. unreal mods aren't going to be as good as Red, especially when they released an official modding tool for The Witcher 3

It's still regrettable that Cyberpunk 2077 was forced to release prematurely. If the game hadn't been rushed, perhaps we could have experienced the 2.0 update and subsequent DLCs from day one. However, what's done is done. Hopefully, CDPR won't forget the lessons learned from this experience in the future.
