I found one yesterday. Mom was dead under a fallen tree. I'm watching squirrel videos to learn how to be his mom.
i rescued a ground squirrel and fell in love with him. he was precious. after he passed my vet knew how upset i was and when an injured baby tree squirrel was brought into his office he called me to rehab it. I loved him too but we released him in a wildlife sanctuary in Colorado. that was 17 yrs ago and the sanctuary has kept track of all the 100s of babies and grandbabies snd great grandbabies hes had.

One day my wife called me to come look at a fox squirrel by our patio with a baby in its mouth, running around in a panic. I stepped outside to discover a turkey buzzard circling above and two more babies laying on the ground. I got a bucket and placed it laying on the ground and put leaves in it along with the other two babies to hide them from the buzzard and went back inside the house to watch from the door. The mother picked up each of the babies and took them to another tree nest. When she knew they were safe she came right up to the outside of the door and put her paw on the door, looked me right in the eyes and made kind of a barking sound as if to say thank you. I am amazed at Gods creations all the time.
having a baby squirrel was the best thing that ever happened to me! i love them so much! the noises they make are so sweet.

@avrevs yes animals have a different kind of love and companionship that humans don’t offer. Also, when you care for an animal and they rely on you, you grow a special bond. So sweet!
I once raised a flying squirrel because my cat brought it in the house. It was still pinky stage it was so young. He was my buddy and went everywhere with me. They’re the sweetest little animals. Thanks for saving them.
I could watch them all day. Just to cute.🥰
I guess the guy who couldn't open his eyes was the one that didn't make it. Glad you said it up front; otherwise I'd be crying. Thanks for the appreciation on squirrels. Just like your dandelion appreciation video.
That little peanut hoarder was eating one and hiding another one under his elbow. LOL!
I raised a gray squirrel here in Pennsylvania a few years ago and he did great. I released him in the woods behind my house and I have a huge feeder for all the animals out back so when he came to the feeder one day his top few inches of tail was bit off. I think he was in a scrap with another gray or it was a hawk. Anyway he was nicknamed Half Tail and he still lives out back and he is chubby!!

Do you rescue rats too, genius ? Grey squirrels are MUCH more destructive than rats and there are an estimated 2 billion of them in North America. There is no logical reason to waste your time rescuing grey squirrels.

That is SO GOOD. Hes a little chubby and that's ok. He must be coming to that feeder and stashing some of your nuts away 🇦🇺🥰

They are soooo CUTE!!! I've wanted to have squirrels living in the huge old spruce trees that encircle our house since we moved here over 15 years ago and just last week I finally saw a small one run up the tree right outside my den window. I was soooo HAPPY!! So now, we'll do our best to keep it/them safe from the stray cats that frequent our pastures. Thank you for sharing this adorable video. You make a good tree, Stefan. :-D
I found a squirrel, dying & on the side of the road. She had wandered very far from home...no trees and no Momma close by. I couldn't just leave her there. RSPCA basically said they would put her down and it made me cry my eyes out. I am rehabilitating her :) she's nearly 7 weeks and I found her at 6 weeks. She's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to release her, where she belongs..in the trees. Thank you for this cuteness over load video! Best introduction to a video, ever! She loves watching her little squirrel homies. 😍 I subscribed.

So nice of you to care for these.
Squirrels and chipmunks have now clue just how special they really are! 🥰The dog ate what? 😳😲😨

Ate one of them.
It is difficult to not get attached. Especially since they don't smell, and their fluids don't smell either. They're as playful as a ferret, and they can seriously force you to get organized as nothing is sacred to a rodents will to gnaw! Also, Clarissa Summers has a webpage with a formula for "nutballs," which will keep a squirrels calcium to phosphorus levels at the right ratio so they don't die in captivity.

Welcome aboard
They’re goofballs, but seriously cute! 🙃
Not hard to tell you are just the sweeeeeeetest man, ever!!!! But one thing I have to say is, that, when they are very small and just laying in the grass or under a tree, they are most likely already abandoned. I worked with the animalambulance and had to pick up these little guys often. We brought them to the squirrelrescue, where they sheltered and later put back to the woods when they were old enough.
Oh that’s sweet I think they’re adorable🥰🥰🥰🥰
La nature est belle et pleine de miracles! Merci pour la compassion envers la vie! Mon voisin au chalet les tirs juste en cas qu’ils causes du dommage.
They do make great pets, and make pets out of them🥰💕🌅🦋
So cute.
Very sweet. Good people.
God bless you
🎉 such cuteness 🎉
I had some baby squirrels. The box they were in fell off post. I checked them and and found a box put in top of shed and let the mother take them to new home. My friend has an adult squirrel friend that comes to deck at his home.
That’s awesome
So sweet
The TRUE "Squirel-Master"!😂👍

We just rescued one just a bit bigger than yours from the tarp on our pool. The water was very cold. We dried him off and have him under a hear lamp. He is only moving a little bit. Any suggestions on what else to do to help him survive? Thank you in advance.

What you’re doing is good. If it’s old enough then some solid food (carrots, nuts) and water or milk.
