The company employee that sent your 18 Wheeler delivery down that bendy one lane crappy road with "No Exit" needs to be disciplined. For you to have to investigate this for yourself was a good move Safford... What a slap in the face, but indeed glad it all ended well and for you as usual keeping a clear head on matters. Merry Christmas 2 U and have a wonderful safe New Year!

Yep. I hated it when customers insisted on 'helping' me back out. Follow too closely on foot, giving unwanted, unneeded and nonsensical hand signals. All they accomplish is giving me one more obstacle to watch out for and waste my time as I have to wait for them to get out of my blind spots. Company used to send us out in 53' van trailers to do residential deliveries......pretty horrible. Retired a year ago and retirement is bliss. Hang in there driver.

ive had to help a couple 18 wheelers out of a car park at a shopping centre since cars wouldnt give way so i stepped in since i was working in that carpark and had the right gear on at the time i was a trolley collector or as you guys in america know them as shopping karts, so i directed traffic and stopped traffic as the truck was reversing had to stand at the back of the trailer but i knew where to stand at all times which was not directly behind the trailer but also stand in view of the driver if i could see him in the mirror then he could see me at all times and i was like 20 to 30 feet away from the back of the trailer while stopping cars from cutting him off,

But I try to use the same truckers each time, and know what their capabilities are. I also make large turn turnarounds so that there is NO possibility of them not being able to turnaround. (Even my neighbors 18 wheeler can use them) These people are just inconsiderate of their delivery folks. Serves them right if no one will come deliver.

It is not the fault of the customer, an 18 wheeler for one pallet isn't something he should be concerned with. They have this thing called the internet and it has this thing called Google maps.
