Great gift from Boyd ! Would be great to get it on the road as it is -- a lot of class just that way . As time permits, new goodies and fixes to get it back towards prime vintage condition would make some cool videos -- looking forward to seeing more . My Bonneville still rates as the best looking bike I have ever had -- even the years can't change that.

This Boyd. The bike ran well before I winterized it last winter. I did have problems with the carbs at anything over half throttle. Didn`t have the time to work on that with all the other stuff I have going on, but I am confident that Malcolm and Kyle will have it running like sewing machine. I am happy that the bike has a good home now. No regrets.

You can tell it's from Tennessee by the mud dauber nest in the sidecar mount. : ). That seems to be the cool thing around here.

@@bbivens8263 Mud daubers definitely happen around here. No worries, that's just a bit of southern character.

Hi Kyle, beautiful bonneville. I'd love to see any of the really basic work you do on this bike. I'm working on a '68 bonneville (similar visual condition) and finding it difficult to build up knowledge how to deal with things like old slightly rusting bolts, and whether to reuse existing bolts on the bike (vs new, or cad plating). Also how to clean up rims and chrome, and paint, or what parts actually need replaced. Interested to know whether you recommend stripping engine down for a rebuild (for the sludge trap etc). Thanks man!

Hello! If the condition is unknown, its only a matter of time until you have to go through the engine. If its a project, I recommend rebuilding it. CAD plating is nice, try to use the original bolts / hardware if you can
