@@dirtpony Love watchin' a good hat shaper work! Not sure what shop y'all videoed this at, but Stages West in Pigeon Forge on the strip is a good place to go. That's where me and my husbands got our Greeley's on our honeymoon.

Hi Ernest! I carry mine one of two ways... when I'm on my adventure bike, I put it in my top case. But when I'm on my sport bike, I put it in my HUSBAND'S top case. 🤠 Lol. If he is not riding with me and I'm on the sportbike, I ride with a ball cap. 😞. I could put it in a light back pack if I really wanted to (they make them specifically for cowboy hats), but I don't care for that option for several reasons. Let us know if you come up with a good way to carry yours!

I love that crease too! When I get one done I'm sure I'll go with something similar. I tend to go to shops and try on lots of styles to see what works on my face. When you do yours let me see it!

Avec tout les fabricants de chapeaux de cowboys, il est difficile de s'y retrouver (lesquels sont les plus solides avec le temps et ne rétrécisses pas avec la première grosse pluie, et avec quel feutre ils sont fait ( lapin avec celui du castor, de laine etc).

I inherited an old Stetson with a huge 5” crown. Is there a shape/style/way to shape it so the crown is closer to 4-3/16” or 4-5/8”?

Yes- It's easier to re-shape a felt crown down than to ask a small crowned hat to get "taller" if you catch my drift. I'm a 65 year old cowboy who's been shaping my own hats since I was 11 years old. Have my own Jiffy steamer at home and I shape hats for some of my cowboy and not-so cowboy friends..

Grab a big ol akubra bronco or golden spur, good vents. Or the akubra territory hat, monster vents on em. (I'm Australian so I'm bias haha but it does get hot enough here that I know they work well)

Absolutely! It’s customary to tip your hat shaper. They’re the one who will make you look GOOD or will make you look like a drugstore cowboy. Hat shaping is an art that takes time to learn. Everyone’s head is different. I couldn’t imagine wearing an off the shelf hat, straw OR felt, that wasn’t custom shaped to my head and to my individual taste. Tips usually start at around $20 and go up depending on the price of the hat.

It is never good for a man to grow his hair long..it is tantamount to dishonoring the creator...the head of the man is Christ.the head of the woman is written in the bible..please cut your hair and honor God and God will bless you...if not you are under a curse...

Wow. Thanks for the unsolicited spiritual "guidance." So if all those pictures of Jesus with long hair hanging in every church are accurate , it must mean he's cursed too... yikes. I appreciate your concern, but we are both secure in our faith.
