Several years ago, I talked my self into parting with enough money to buy a custom made hat, thinking I'd purchase a, once in a lifetime, good hat. A couple of months ago I picked up my third hat and have been just as tickled and pleased as I was with my first one. A part of me was reluctant to wear my first hat as an everyday riding and working hat, but, everyone who rides and works outside in any weather knows the importance of good equipment. These top quality hats made/crafted by Chandler and Kovi are worth every cent. They take the abuse of a harsh environment and climate and alway remain a classy looking hat. Andrew Goudy. A happy customer and friend.

Love hats. I got hats from Goorin Brothers and Christy's. Never heard of this Brand. Looks good. What do you think of lock and hatter hats? My hats last longer than 10 years and they are not the most expanisve.

Way cool video !! At the end of the video You mention Your legacy of the shop ( there's nothing more final than death & taxes ) , if You don't have an Aire Apparent Your business will go when You go . I personally believe Generational businesses are the best because of knowledge & pride passed on , and learned along the way . You already have a GREAT work ethic ! I believe You would make a GREAT MENTOR ! You're making some wonderful hats ! ( maybe someday I'll be able to afford one ... )

Yeah using the original finishing equiptment but you, along with every other custom hatter, orders the bodies from the same place. That's the problem. The bodies made today are junk. They aren't felted properly. They don't finish up as nice and they shrink and taper more than they did back in the day. Not the same felt at all. Even pure beaver. It really isn't much better than wool.
