WTF
Just talked with Sam. Sounds like both of my monarch rigs are in the final stages along with my belt. I got a double Glock 19X with mag pouches and a double 642 J frame with stripper clip holsters along with double HRT sheaths. on each. Took me many years to find somebody that had the ability to make exactly what I wanted. Literally about 15 years.

Going for the Resident Evil 4 shoulder rig huh?
I am a proud owner of a Monarch rig.Not only is it beautifully made, it’s the most comfortable shoulder rig I’ve ever had.I carry a Sig P226 TacOps, a full sized pistol, my rig has three tension release mag pouches and a HRT dagger.Full sized pistol, 81 rounds, and a knife.Completely concealed under a light jacket. The absolute best!

the Bob Ross of custom leather crafting ....
Sam is the Bob Ross of leather craft!
Am a born and raised fur craftsman. Respect 😊
Sam is my favorite Artisan who works with leather.
If I lived in Florida, I'd work for this man in a heartbeat
WOW! I placed my order yesterday for your "carjacker" holster... Now, after watching this video today, I am even MORE impressed with the quality and workmanship of your hand made holsters. Can't wait to receive mine!
I could listen to that guy for hours. Great voice and delivery.
And that Ladies and Gent’s is why made in the USA is such a superior product.
Love all of these videos. 100% instructional but never boring. Picked up a whole slew of leather tools and supplies along with a bunch of leather. Seeing as no company in the country can make the holster I am looking for I have to do it myself. This guy needs his own TV show.
Any chance Sam would share a video with us showing the design process for creating working patterns? The detail he shares in his training videos are very helpful to folks that are trying to learn the right ways to do things.
An hour and a half just to watch a Holster being made ? Seemed like only 5 minutes, what a Craftsman. Absolutely fascinating and so informative. Thanks Sam for showing us how its done and thanks Hank for putting this out there. A real work of art. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It is an extreme priveledge to watch a master craftsman at work.
Sidenote the exotics that he does I’ve touched and held felt and seen so many please take the time to listen to what he’s saying and what he’s trying to show you! The different levels the different textures and the amount of material this man can work with!
This guy makes me miss hanging out with my grandpa in his workshop.
Pay attention, this is how it's done the right way. Love my friend ❤
Dude sounds like he should be the announcer for game shows or on the audio books for westerns...... Thanks for the video
I have a Andrews Monarch. It is the ultimate shoulder rig. It feels like nothing and I carry a full size Sig P226 Tachops with three mags. A true craftsman and awesome guy.
Nothing makes a stitch as perfect and beautiful as a Landis 16. Absolutely the best harness stitcher ever made. The only drawback would be the shallowness of the neck. The only stitcher that comes close is the Union Lockstitch hook and awl machine.
I happened to be lucky enough to reside relatively close to the shop! Mr. Andrews is a wonderful, welcoming person! I had visited him in his shop to pick up a holster. Great stuff!!! Highly recommend!!!
Excellent video! Mr Andrews is craftsman and one of the last of a breed.
New appreciation for leather work in general. No wonder this type of stuff is so expensive. Many years of learning behind what he makes look so easy. Thanks so much.
I could fall asleep to him talking about leather every night.

I love Sam Andrews! The man truly is authentic! I have been to his shop and treated me with utter most respect and so helpful with me learning the craft
I love the way that Mr Andrews has no ahmmms and ahhh, when he speaks. It makes the video much more professional. He is a remarkable speaker. A very accomplished leather crafter as well. Excellent video. I really enjoyed this.

I wish there were more videos to watch. This guy needs his own show. I'd watch every episode.
Top class holsters by any standard.
What a fantastic video to watch. It's easy to watch a master at work.
Sam is an unbelievable craftsmen and gentleman. He has gracefully and without return expectations, taught many his trade, including myself. I purchased a holster from Sam nearly 8 years ago now and showed interest in the process while I was there to pick it up. He asked if I would like to make something and the rest is history. I had the opportunity to spend nearly six months with Sam in his shop learning the trade. Never to busy to lend a hand or give advice, I am forever grateful for his mentoring. You will not find a better leather craftsmen in the business. His attention to detail and processes are beyond any other maker I have ever seen.
Wow, this guy was made to make "How To" videos!! The hour and 15 minutes FLEW by! I was engrossed in watching a master craftsman work and explain, fantastically, what he was doing and why! Great vid, Hank!
that sewing machine ! as a machinist/welder/fabricator/ hobbyist blacksmith, it warms my heart to see the old, big, heavy, pre-war looking stuff still in use.
As an amateur leather crafter, I really do enjoy watching a master craftsman at work.
Thanks Hank. Andrews is a true craftsman. Regards from NC
Thank you for showing us this feature length with great detail and explanations for what /why you're doing certain things. I also want to thank Hank for just letting you do your work uninterrupted. Beautiful work by both of you.

I have owned a Andrews Monarch Shoulder Rig for over 15 years and it still looks fantastic. This man is an artist. If you are a holster connoisseur, do yourself a favor and get an Andrews Custom Holster!
You Sir are a true craftsman.
He needs his own television series! I could watch and listen to him all day! Very professional
he makes those holsters sound good enough to eat.
Excellent craftsman and well spoken.
I just started watching leather crafting videos and didn't realize Wickett & Craig turned out such high quality stuff. I can see their factory from the end of my street.
Superb old world craftsmanship......Excellent
I will never shake my head and complain about seeing a basic leather holster costing so much ever again. After seeing the equipment needed and watching you put all that work and care in detail on this one, I can see why they cost so much. BTW what would that holster you made sell for ? I enjoyed watching a master like Sam Andrews do his thing, every minute of this video. Thank you for showing how it's done the right way.
I just bought a Monarch last week at a gun show. Very well made and comfortable. After watching this video, I now feel like I should have paid you more for all of this precise work. Excellent product, thank you!
Time for a new video of some holster builds!
I have ordered several Monarchs over the years, waiting for a new one for a 1911 right now. Can attest to the highest levels of quality imaginable.
This guy is the Bob Ross of the gun/holster world, and I love it!
I don't even have a need for a leather holster, but this Andrew's guy seems so cool and knowledgeable that I think I'm gonna order one. Definitely has that old world skill (mastery) in leather working. I loved watching all these videos.
May be an old video but thank God I can still enjoy watching Sam Andrews hand make fine leather holsters . What a plethora of information & knowledge from Sam is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks Hank for educational videos. God bless both you & your families.
I love that stitching machine!! Also, love that he prefers it to any modern machines. The modern day leather craftsman and the machine maker craftsman from long ago, still working together after all of these years.
Sam has made 3 3 IWB "McDaniel" IWB holsters. the singlemost comfortable holsters I own! thanks Sam!
One of the best instructional/demo videos on KZread. Well done, gentlemen.
Sam and Hank, thank you for producing this video. I knew there was much handwork that went into this rig and the quality and attention to detail are second to none. Showing how this was made from start to finish demonstrates why a craftsman, such as yourself, is worth his weight in gold.
Thanks Mr. Andrew’s. Absolutely great video on leather work…. You have taught me so much
Anytime I try to explain why handworked leather pieces cost so much (honestly, a lot of shoulder rigs are underpriced simply because of competition from cheap, poorly made pieces), I use the Picasso story: Picasso was sitting in a Paris café when an admirer approached and asked if he would do a quick sketch on a paper napkin. Picasso politely agreed, swiftly executed the work, and handed back the napkin but not before asking for a rather significant amount of money. The admirer was shocked: “How can you ask for so much? It took you a minute to draw this!” “No”, Picasso replied. “It took me 40 years.” The point is you are paying for the time and experience that were necessary to develop a person who could make such a piece. There's those little details only a person with decades of experience would understand. You can try to copy, but perfect replication of skill (especially with efficiency) is impossible without the time necessary to develop them. He's putting a lot more effort than a minute, but as hes making these rigs, it's amazing all the little nuances he's pointing out effortlessly that only a master of the craft would know. Spectacular work.
Excellent presentation. Very educational. Many thanks Sam.
This guy is very talented
It's like watching Bob Ross make holsters.
When I’m away from home and cannot sleep, I put this on and knock out like a rock. Not because it’s boring, I find it very interesting. It’s because his voice is so soothing.
The best video iv seen in months. Great content.
Andrew is the man
What a class act. Sam is a true artisan and a master at his craft. I absolutely love my monarch for Glock 19 w/ g17 mags. It makes for a very comfy EDC. I'll definitely be getting a McDaniel iwb soon.
Attention to the details shows craftsmanship and quality.
A true master.
It's amazing work Very beautiful Thank you for this video
The experience you demonstrate bespeaks volumes of making this product so many times that muscle memory and sensation is acclimated to feel. Impressive and much appreciated as a future customer.
Same... could watch and listen to Mr. Andrews for days... so educational for a budding leatherworker... Thanks!
Hank Strange, thank you so very much for showcasing Mr. Andrews in your videos. He is a consummate gentleman, and a true master of leather. While many folks may make holsters, Mr. Andrews crafts. Many moons ago I ordered a Monarch for my H&K USPc, and, once I received it, it was only on a blue moon that I used a different rig for carry. I no longer have the H&K, but I couldn't bring myself to sell the Monarch. I now carry a Beretta PX4 Compact, and I just placed an order with Mr. Andrews for the holster portion of the Monarch to be used with the harness and triple magazine pouches I used for the H&K. I may own another H&K compact, one never knows, and if I do, I already have my favorite rig waiting for me. Thanks again, Hank!
He makes sewing look so easy, I don't think it's that easy an always worry I'm going to mess up dropping one extra stitch.
This guy is like the Bob Ross of leather work, I could watch and listen to him for hrs lol
These videos are the best.
I'd love to see how the patterns for a new holster are designed.
this man is a true Craftsman and yes his voice can put you to sleep it's just that riveting
I can't be the only watching these videos and enjoying listening to this means speaking voice.
Great ...What a Terrific Product...I want to own it. Thank You !!!
Amazing work sam.
you sir are a true craftsman, tks!
Without betraying it's presence. Classic.
Amazing craftsmanship.
Nothing beats hand craftsmanship, amazing work.
I have Galco and Don Hume for my molded holsters. Had I known about Andrews Leather at the time I would have opted to buy his. However, I still intend to purchase more holsters for my handgun collection. Experienced gun owners often buy many holsters-lol.
I would like to become one of your assembly minions!!!
Very nice holster
Thanks Hank and Sam for these videos. It illustrates all the hard work that goes into making high quality videos and leatherwork.
Thank you Sam and Hank for this well thought out and fantastic video. Sam's voice reminds me a lot of listening to the late actor John Carradine's voice, I could listen to him talk for hours. Keep up the great work you guys.
More of these videos please
This guy should have his own show on PBS (CLAY Co LEATHER WORKS) lOl
Great video guys, thank you. Sam, never bought, but when I get the cash up I will. This holster you just made is one of them I want!
Mr. Andrews is totally zen! Zen and the art of leather work.
Very informative and entertaining.
Seriously, I'm dearly enjoying this video series on holster making. So much talent!
Fantastic video! Thank you for this.
Great video!! Thanks for posting it. I watched this one and the last one from beginning to end. My wife loved the stitching machine. She has been an avid sewer her whole life. She really liked that part of the operation. She has made many clothes and Halloween costumes for both our 4 kids and our 8 grandkids!! What a great and entertaining video. Enjoyed every minute, Sam, you are a real craftsman!!! Bravo!! I picked up a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster over 25 years ago at a local gun shop used for $25.00!!!! Back then it was a super deal. Watching this video makes me appreciate it even more today. Now that we finally have CCW in this state, I can finally use it without breaking the law!!! LOL!!!
Master craftsman 😃👌👌👌
Loved watching every minute of the process. Those leather holsters are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
