CUSTOM ACTION FIGURES: X-Men's Cyclops
Cyclops is my favorite Marvel character.
He has been since I was a kid.
That being the case, it makes sense that he would be the first Marvel custom I would do.
And I'm doing a unique version of Cyclops that doesn't have a figure, to my knowledge. It's the New X-Men version from Grant Morrison's run on the title.
So, Let's get moving and make an X-Man!

He's been my favorite Marvel guy since I was a kid.
Wow, that came out great! I wouldn’t have thought to use Godspeed as a bad body for this. I was thinking superboy.

No custom like this will ever look as perfect as you want but for the X logos, can’t you mold it on the figure then take it off & paint it then glue it on? So paint looks better & the lines?

The problem with the Milliput is that it you take it off it loses the form because it's so clay-like. What I've started to realize is that if I go thinner, it works better with the sanding. Plus, I just got a dremel which will help a lot with making the edges smoother. With this figure I made a couple mistakes right off the bat, and the main one was using the craft paint. It's so thick that the end product just doesn't look as good.
lil water on the sculpting tool will take the harshness from the sculpt

I have to try that! I'm working on a J'onn J'onz figure right now and I wish I had done that when working with the Milliput. You're going to save me a lot of frustration!
