From a paramedic student point of view it's really cool to learn about the history behind the namesake of the Cushings Triad

Super excited for this video! Gotta say though today's neurosurgeons are my favorite only preceeded by the surgeons of tomorrow. Eyes forward as we all stand on the shoulders of giants

This is so interesting! I would love to see you do a video about the history of lobotomies. It’s… obviously very grizzly but I think hearing a surgeons perspective on the procedure would be so cool!

Amazing to think he was doing all of this without the technology we have today! Also a quick question: I had a VP shunt fitted 7 weeks ago to treat hydrocephalus. I had been experiencing symptoms for about 8 months prior to the surgery. Everything's going well and working the way it should. Prior to even experiencing any hydrocephalus symptoms, I suffered from osteoarthritis and used marijuana to help with the chronic pain. Can I smoke marijuana even with a shunt in? Will the shunt be affected in any way if I do? My Neurosurgeon told me I "could do whatever I wanted" as I was being discharged from hospital but I'm not sure. Please help, I can't live with this pain!!
