The Crow gun incident is actually pretty crazy, there's an old Unsolved Mysteries episode that goes into the chain of events that caused the gun to go off and it also goes into Bruce Lees death too and their family curse. It gets a little supernatural when connecting them, but the gun information is really informative.

Hey, I'm a Cast Member and it has been confirmed to me, that it is still a real skull on the ride. Here's the full story if you don't know it. When building the ride, Imagineering was not happy with how fake the skeletons looked. They reached out to UCLA, who provided them with real skeletons. When technology got better and more convincing fake skeletons could be made, the real ones where given a proper burials. The only thing that could not be replaced was the skull in the head piece in the Captain Quarters. That is the only confirmed skull left in the ride.

Great video guys! Some additional details on Brandon Lee’s onset death. As Chelsea mentioned, the film’s crew decided to make their own dummy rounds, which normally have the bullet and the casing but no primer and no gun powder, from normal live ammunition. The crew removed the gun powder but not the primer. At some point, this faulty dummy round was placed in a weapon and the trigger was pulled. The remaining primer contained enough force to project the bullet out of it’s casing and lodge it in the gun barrel. Later, this same gun was used to film a shooting scene using blank rounds which contain the primer and gun powder and omit the bullet. The blank round combined with the leftover bullet stuck in the barrel effectively created a live round and killed Brandon Lee.
I see a pattern for almost all of these podcasts. Chelsea "I had to do a ton of research for this" James "Yeah, I just had to drink a martini and show up"

real skeletons in movies were actually sort of common in the 80's. the skeletons in movies like texas chainsaw massacre part 2 and phenomena i've heard were also real.
The examination of the 'Brave Little Toaster' curse was a brilliant example of this phenomenon. Another factor to consider is that many people who are drawn to the arts struggle with mental health issues like anxiety and depression, which sometimes (but definitely not always!) lead to bad outcomes.
At least Disneyland used to have multiple human skeletons on pirates of the Caribbean but they removed all of them accept for the skull on the headboard
