I am a girl and have the same problem. How to make very tight curls less tight? All I can tell you is that if you blow dry it on a round brush it not only does not last- but after a while it turns into an afro. The only thing that helps are curl creams which help to define the curls more.

@@GertzerrozAll he did was blow dry his hair up and back. You would need to do this every time though it’s not permanent.

If you could give language to your technique that would help those of us wanting to take your advice into our local salons and get the same result.
