It lasts three minutes. That's pretty short for a Cuphead boss theme.

The regular game shouldve given as much Hp to the first phase as this mod does. The song is supposed to be a medley of many other levels in the game, but no players ever hear it because the phase ends before that point. Its kind of a waste.

But the game would be too hard for anyone to beat, you literally have to survive 3 minutes alone and this is only the first phase

@@Cyrus_got_verified Fair point, but its still kind of a waste as it is. I'd say either make this phase easier to survive as a tradeoff for the higher hp, or make the song continue playing for the second phase.

@@Cyrus_got_verified Yes, but the first phase of the devil indeed *is* almost like a separate boss! I mean, it has a separate boss theme, a completely different look and mechanics, and has enough attack variety that it would fill up a regular Cuphead boss, phases and all.

I would’ve actually really liked this if they put a move set switch up and transitioning attack half way through the first phase, just to make it not as repetitive

Also little fun fact, I was the Beta Tester for this mod and for King Dice, instead of the cards being close together there would be a gap in between the cards so that you can jump in between and dodge, and I was a bit frustrated of that and then me and the mod creator both agreed that the cards not only be fast, but close together so it won't be as difficult as it was when I was beta testing it.

@@goink8532 yeah, actually the cards going fast and being close together was my idea since I also have a mod that makes bosses a bit more of a challenge (which you can search it on gamebanana and it's named GEO Mode) and I was streaming it the one day, on twitch, and he saw me play my mod, when I was just playing through it when it was in beta, and he saw my version of the King Dice fight and saw the card spawns and decided to do that instead, but the only difference between mine and his is that there are more cards that spawn than my original card count, sped up, close together, card spawns which I'm ok with.

@@goink8532 Ah, also I did include the once unused alternate phases in Root Pack & Sally in Legacy/V1.1.5 versions of the game, in my mod.

I think the chips should drop where Cuphead is in this mod. It'd remove the feeling of random BS and makes the player plan their movements. Phase 2 isn't particularly harder, it just has more health.

A 6 minute slog? Nah, not really. I am not a big fan of how short the original is, but 6 minutes is waaay too long, even for me. Ayy Lmao's devil buff mod strikes the perfect balance between an endurance test and a not damage sponge in my opinion, it's a little bit under 4 minutes long.

I can't pass wally warbles in expert difficult, imagine that lol Amazing job, I desire that one day i can have your skills!

Not a man but thanks! I have a controller but find that I actually prefer using kb for 2D games. I played this mod in version 1.1, which didn't have the secret phases. Those were added in 1.2, and I'm not sure if the mod works in that version. You're free to try it out yourself
