The CSULB College of Engineering is expanding into heavy civil construction with establishment of the Beavers Endowed Chair in Heavy Civil Construction. A celebration was held Oct. 20 to thank the Beavers Charitable Trust and donors, including lead fundraiser Ralph Larison. To illustrate heavy civil, students constructed models of train tracks, a freeway system, a dam, and a port.
