My friend got into the REU program here to conduct labs/research on saving lives from fentanyl exposure. She was supposed to start June 10th but this happened and now she’s stuck in her dorm. I feel like sometimes people just don’t understand or think about how their actions can cause harm to others who are also fighting for other issues that are happening in the world. They could’ve been peaceful about it…..putting a school on lockdown by means of destruction is not going to help or solve anything, it just creates fear that ends up working against the cause.

how is this not national news?

calling the lowest civilian casualty ratio for urban warfare in almost 20 years "genocide" is wild. It's not even at a third of what's expected for urban combat. Just say you don't understand what's going on and respond emotionally.

@IllIlIIllIlIIIll no, ratio. I made that pretty clear. Per capita has nothing to do with it. A quick Google search will confirm what I said. Modern urban warfare is expected to have a civilian casualty ratio of 1:9 or at least 80% civilians. Even if hamas' exaggerated numbers are to be believed (which they shouldn't be) its not even at 1:3. In reality, it's probably closer to 1:1.5 but that won't be determined until years after the war is over.
