What if valve made drops work like operations so you had to complete different randomly generated missions each week? Like win one competitive, get 20 kills in some game mode and so on
8:57 thats very misleading. They're not only breaking the Steam TOS but also the CS Fairplay guidelines: "In all modes: - Never cheat. - Never grief or verbally abuse your teammates or opponents. - Never use any automation for any reason." Bans are 100% justified.

Ive been playing tf2 since 2015, and the bot problem began there and has only gotten worse. Id recommend watching a video by Zesty Jesus called "no one's home" where he goes over this exact problem. Valve USED to clear these bots back in the day, but they've largely stopped, as hundreds of thousands of accounts would just pop back up after a ban wave. Unfortunately, its no surprise this spreads to other free games (unturned, cs2, etc). Bots, whether it be cheaters or item farms, will remain as long as valve does nothing about it. When money's involved, people will find a way to abuse the system.

Dude, it's a LOT like cheating the way that they do it. Some even have them with aimbot and other cheats that autokill other players in the server, too. Stop saying it's "not as bad as cheating" to literally run 60,000+ accounts that ruin the game for at least tens of thousands of regular players. These morons ruin at least 2-3 games for me in a playsession of deathmatch each day, it's way worse than the average 12 year old with an aimbot. No wonder I couldn't play flying Scouts men I found it odd how I would join a server and instantly get vote kicked to Lays that weren't even moving
I think valve should make the drops come from some sort of weekly quest like get x amount of kills in dm or have a certain amount of flash assists and because they would change every week the bot farmers will not be able to keep up
love the influx of educational conten!t!
No, its not 600k to players instead. If those bots werent there, the cases just wouldnt have been dropped.
Well another point for how bot farmers would ruin cs2 is that they’d drive the price of cases down because of the sheer amount they earn ruining the potential payout for actual players
you can only get a drop once a week and if you need prime it would be like around 16/.25 (assuming the average case is 25 cents like in the video) it would take 64 weeks for a single bot that bought prime to become profitable. the middle manning on skinport with 2% fees is not actually something i knew about thats cool
7:35 can't get behind that logic there. It's not that the farmers are "stealing" cases, unless you're viewing it from a "they're occupying a server that a player could use" perspective, which I think is still wrong since servers are launched dynamically in the cloud on demand. Cue times could be longer though.

yeah selling cases is big money every year, i spend $200 on cases, and i've been selling my old cases in a cycle for the past 8 years... I still have Breakout Cases, they are worth 7.50 USD each. I buy games with them afterwards. I invested 100 dollars back in 2015, each cases were 0.04 USD. Now they are 7.50, that is 1,875% mark up (or 187.5x more). After fees, I made a little short of $16,000. and I bought games with that money. I only bought like 500 dollars worth of games per steam sale events. I got too many games, not enough time.
This is why the CS2 numbers are at a record high, It wouldn't surprise me what so ever if there are more BOTS than humans in CS2 at any one time. CS is on it's backside, BOTS, Cheaters, MatchMaking just throws any old people into games, usually one side is full of premades whilst the other is full on solo players. On top of this, all the dudes that are bored of cheaters in high ELO, are on secondary accounts absolutely battering people in lower ranks to the point where the actual difference in skill is massive, because of this you get people leaving mid game. I can only imagine how difficult it is for genuine new player to start getting into CS.
Hey bud you're awesome just hope you know that ...Cheers keep doing you!
Valve could 3x the amount of case drops. the players need to buy keys, people would be more willing to open if they are 4 cents over a dollar.
Casefarmers make cases cheaper
If check out zesty Jesus video on the afk bot problem in tf2 you’ll see how tf2 player metrics behavior is awfully similar to cs2 and that’s bc of all the bot hosting activity

Sure, sometimes you get into games with the bots, but just search for another game and youll find one pretty quickly. from my experience atleast. and with how scarce cases are nowadays, its not a bad thing to introduce a few hundred thousand extra into the market every month. theyre still expensive enough even with the newly added supply to make people play

Accounts may be stolen. To lesser extent, profit can still be made due to case prices rising overtime.
Bots should be banned as they are definitely cheating by definition. The difference to a player cheating with Aim and Walls is, that the player isn't even required to play anymore. They literally automate the game through external software that Auto aims for them. Also, you could argue that its one player making multiple "Smurf accounts" that very likely give false data about the account owner in the creation process in almost every possible way, which should also be enough to ban you of steam entirely.
just add captcha before connecting to server xD

Honestly, all these videos (yours, and to an extent the tf2 guy's bot video, i forgot his name) do is make me want to code some case farming bots. It seems like really fucking easy money. Also, I dont totally agree that the bots are hurting CS2 players, at least not in an economic sense. (it's definitely not healthy for whatever gamemode they're playing) While yes, they are taking up $600k marketshare, that drives the prices down, it is good for the consumer. Not for the sellers though, but nobody is gonna really give a shit because they're not really making money from cs2, only the case farmers. At the end of the day it mostly just comes down to providing more cases for gamba-enjoyers to open, meaning they pay less, and they get their experience for cheaper. Your average joe selling cases isn't going to care much that their cases are worth ¢5-¢20 less. Otherwise, great video. I only disagree on the one point.. or really, half a point, because the bots are definitely ruining deathmatch/flying scoutsman.
That Twitter comment of you saying people can’t get out of 10k aged poorly 😂 I’m almost convinced to bot farm after watching this video. 😂
