Thank you again for showing the beauty of God's creation! There is so much to see in this country that it is hard to decide what to see next. I love the advice you give us so that we can get the most out of our trips. I hope you will bike the Mickelson Trail in the Black Hills of South Dakota someday, because that is something I would love to do, and I would love advice from you as to how long it would take to do it. God Bless you brother!

I was just in Mammoth Lakes, actually a week and a half ago! I did visit the Devil's Postpile while I was there. Crystal Lake is one of my favorite hikes in the area! That view going up is just absolutely amazing!! You also got some wonderful drone shots in this video of the lakes! I've never done it with snow, though, and I can see how it could be difficult to navigate. You did a great job showing off this trail, Randy!

This is the go to area if you want civilization and duck pass is really short approach. Got Ritter Range. Devils Postpile/Rainbow Falls. I sleep at Grant Lake on ground get up drive up to Tuolumne Meadows. Yosemite. In the winter stick to Lone Pine. Mammoth is the real deal. Devils Postpile now runs a bus down. No cars. Last summer 23. Handicap can drive down.

Yeah, Postpile was the desired destination, but even this late into the summer, the approach road was still closed due to snow. Had a blast there back in 2009 with my daughter.
