    Crysis is made by Germans. In Germany, they have UHT milk, which is milk that can be stored at room temperature until the carton is opened. That's why you can find milk on the shelves.

    The craziest thing about Crysis 2 and 3 is that they actually made it a legitimate plot point that Prophet is the suit and he literally erases Alcatraz. Like, by the end of 2 the suit and Prophet have erased the human being they enveloped and he just becomes Prophet reborn. That's fucking crazy dark and nobody even acknowledges that Prophet is some sort of weird body snatcher parasite by the third game.

    So here's the thing I've been curious about. What happened to Alcatraz's body? Because by the end of the 3rd game all that remains is the suit/machine. I originally thought the suit kinda just absorbed the body for biomass or something when they released the nanite blockers mid way through C3, but idk.

  • @ZaLewdWarudo

    @ZaLewdWarudo

    Жыл бұрын

    @@crusadinghours3505 that's the thing, I don't know if they ever even go as far as to explain the mechanics of what the hell happened. It almost seems like the suit took the biomass that was Alcatraz and just reshaped it into Prophet, who by the end of 3 we see is literally one and the same with the suit. And then just downloaded his saved consciousness into what used to be Alcatraz. It's such a bizarre story beat that I don't think the writers even really had any clue what they were doing.

  • @gluever54

    @gluever54

    @@ZaLewdWarudo it's explained in an official tie in novel. iirc Alcatraz had a conversation with Prophet's conciousness and goes "yeah man you can take over my body and delete me i don't mind i'm a dead guy anyway."

    @ianh2950

    @@ZaLewdWarudo By the beginning of 2 Prophet began to fuse with the suit but his body was so broken and wounded the suit couldn't heal him and it began to weigh down the suit, so he skinned himself and gave the suit to Alcatraz just so the suit had a body in it. The suit is made from technology nanotech and alien tissue that was discovered a long time ago by Hargreave. Over the course of 2 Alcatraz upgrades the suit by introducing more alien tissue which is the upgrade currency. This upgrades the suit so much that it becomes independent of Alcatraz and the suit (and therefore Prophets consciousness) just take over Alcatraz's body. By the end of 3 the suit becomes so powerful and so infused with alien tissue that Prophet is essentially a shapeshifting Ceph subspecies.

    There was a book called Crysis: Escalation of something that detailed the events of Crysis 2 and 3 where Alcatraz and Prophet are fighting over the suit. Prophet wins (duh) but prophet eventually goes to see Alcatraz sick mom and she straight up says "you're not my son" iirc. Prophet is a piece of shit that forced someone into a suit then stole his body after

    @@Gameprojordan IMHO the 2nd and 3rd are better than the 1st. C1 was basically Far Cry 3 before FC3. Mostly uninteresting weapons and set pieces, and a interesting enough story to warrent playing. C2 being linear had the benefit of some breathtaking cityscapes and scenery, as well as plenty of fun weapons to use (bonus points for the amazing ost too). C3 was also mostly if not entirely linear if I recall, and though it's plot, combined with 2, is very odd, I enjoy Prophet's story and ending. And the gameplay was definitely some of the best in the series, and the allowance of almost pure stealth gameplay due to the bow was enjoyable for me. And plenty of weapons to choose from in general especially some of the new alien weapons. Multiplayer was also a blast for me, I've had more fun in the Crysis games mp than any COD.

    Crysis was never really an an open world to begin with though? The franchise has always had wide linear levels from beginning to end. The actual problem with Crysis 2's approach to it was that it was too constrained, less seemless, and had less player choice than Crysis 1's levels. Crysis 3 tried course correcting this issue but the game ended up overcorrecting itself near the end.

    i played the entire trilogy a couple of weeks ago and it felt pretty "refreshing". its just like the good old shooters from 2006-2014 (which it is), which had ok or damn good stories and nicely scripted sequences, combined with good gameplay and the main theme in Crysis 2 (made by Hans Zimmer) is just perfect! and you gotta play the series on "Post-Human Warrior" difficulty! it really makes you use every aspect of the nano-suit and your equipment in general. also the CryENGINE is probably the best looking engine there is together with UE5, maybe even better cuz the CryENGINE 1 already had features Epic-Games hadnt even had thought about at the time, unfortunately its not free to use, so thats why we dont see that much games made with this gorgeous engine, also i've heard that it is fairly easy to use and to understand. last game made with it, that i know of was Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and i mean look at it! and in 2023 - Crysis 4 will most likely be released, achieved with CryENGINE 6! and to quote the Crysis YT channel "Maximum Hype!" BTW: i've heard they are also working on Ryse 2. but as of now, i personally havent found a real confirmation, of this beeing true. CryEngie 5.6 Tech-Trailer / 2 years old kzread.info/dash/bejne/qImtudmqiZDWicY.html felt like i might add that.

So instead of just trying to forget aliens existed, they doubled down, but made them human.

    What I hated was that, just as with Resistance, they pulled in a new writer who rather than expanding on what was there, just dug a hole under the plot to shove their own generic plot about the aliens being here first and sinister tech and etc, then introduced The NPC Who Knows Everything to exposit it all at you. Crysis 2 gets extra stoopid points for apparently thinking the US government could somehow hide an incident which was being actively reported on and involved a nuclear deployment and the loss of two entire carrier battlegroups.

    To this day I still want there to be a true Crysis 2. I'd have it start right after the cliffhanger-like ending of Crysis 1, back to the ice dome, rescue surviving American (and even Koreans) to get a chance to get to the core and slow down/weaken the Alien forces. After that if they really need urban warfare they can go to China, Japan, or to Los Angeles, where the invasion only just started so you'd still see the Alien Scouts swarming and chaos ensues. Seeing Crysis 1 Warriors (the big ones) stomping around War of the Worlds style would be really interesting to see. Any urban setting I'd like to see be far more destructible, I don't remember it being nearly as destructible in so-called Crysis 2. All the suit nonsense I'd like to see avoided too.

    Guess who's back...... Back again...... I am back..... To talk about this game. Without Crysis 2 I wouldn't be here. That's why this is the most nostalgic game in the trilogy for me. The aliens were fun, especially the stalkers. And so were the humans. And this game still felt challenging. The enemy types were very few and far between and you can make the point that the story is a little more generic and action oriented for the series. This game was easily the most chaotic outta the 3. Also I really liked the final "boss" with the guardians. They were hinted at through out the game and you could catch glimpses of them cloaked sometimes. Just wish we got to fight them more or at least if they appeared in a sequel. Hans Zimmer's main theme for this game WAS ABSOLUTELY FUCKING INCREDIBLE!

    I kinda loved this one, it was one of the game that made me wanna see more alone invasions in games , and any game where I can be either badass or feel like a super hero was cool in my books

    If Crysis’ twist made you fight Bionicle instead of garbage squiddy aliens… now maybe that would be a series worth playing.
