~ ABOUT CRYPTA ~
Born in June 2019, CRYPTA is a Brazilian/Dutch Death Metal fourpiece, influenced by the old school sub-genres of the style.
The band’s lineup include Fernanda Lira (vocals & bass) and Luana Dametto (drums), both ex-members of Brazilian thrash metal band Nervosa, Sonia Anubis (lead guitars) who also plays in Cobra Spell and played formerly in the heavy metal band Burning Witches, and Tainá Bergamaschi (guitars), ex-member of Hagbard.

Luana é formidável, ela tocando sozinha já é um show completo. Além de ser muito gente boa, em qualquer entrevista ela transparece isso naturalmente. Não vejo a hora de ver a Crypta ao vivo e sentir a energia da banda.

Is it me or did Luana reach a higher level with Crypta? I remember being impressed with her drumming with her previous band, but now I am just blown away.

I've been playing drums for 33-34 years now & can say, I suck in comparison. Really great technique all over & able to communicate it through not only words but physically. Another great drummer to learn from. 🖤🖤🥁🥁🤘🤘👊

I did learn to read sheet music but in the 80s it wasn't always easy to come by, especially for metal drums so listening and playing by ear over and over until my blisters bled and my ass was numb was my go-to method.

Not sure if non-musicians realize this (or even musicians), but her being able to play and control the parts so cleanly at these slower speeds (and at full speed for that matter), really illustrates how skilled she is. Impressive.
