The moment when Gwen shouted "Peter!" was actually a genuine, unscripted mistake by Emma Stone, but the director loved her immediate reaction after she did it so much that he left it in the film.

"I hate when movies think long distance relationship doesn't work out". Most of the times they don't though. Especially when you are in different continents.

That moment when Gwen's neck snapped in the comics really symbolizes the transition from the Silver Age of comic books to the Bronze Age of comics....when realism started to take over storylines, and comics as more classic "pop art" truly ended.

Andrew Garfield’s range as an actor and performer is insane. He does such a good job of pulling you in and feeling every emotion you’re meant to feel.

the reason that this film was not well received, was never Andrew. he is one of the best actors to ever play the character. Rather, it was Sony's fault, because they wanted to form their universe quickly, that's why during the credits there are references to the sinister 6

The three modern Spider-man actors all bring their own charm or quirks to the table, but Andrew Garfield's acting during the death scene was absolutely painful, raw, and you

Andrew Garfield’s acting in Gwens death scene is some of the best I’ve ever seen. The way his devastation seems so real is incredible

For those of us who already were familiar with that comic storyline, this was not a shocker at all. So here's Natalie to provide the tears some of us cannot shed.

When you asked if anything was different I literally thought “haircut maybe?” And then I was like “nah the way she’s swivelling makes me think it’s a new chair” lmao

Natalie says that weaponizing scientific discoveries is a comic book trope. I say that's the most realistic part of comic book movies.

If you're up for another Andrew Garfield movie. I recommend " Hacksaw Ridge".

I went into this movie completely blind. I saw the first one, but avoided all trailers and spoilers for this one.

To answer your question, yes, Peter has a healing factor that's faster than a normal person. It's not on the level of say, Wolverine or Hulk, but it's fast enough for him to heal from wounds that would lay out a normal person for days in a matter of hours.

Thing I loved about this movie was that physics didn't magically stop when a superhero catches someone. He did manage to catch her with the web but instead of a splat we got a snap. The G forces involved with super heros catching people that are falling are ignored way to much.

Yeah, I remember watching this in high school with my girlfriend at the time. Me being into comics of course, knew what was going to happen. My gf had no idea, and I hadnt realized. When it happened, she asked "so he saved her right" through tears and I was so stunned because i didnt realize that she wouldnt know. On top of that, Andrew garfield absolutely gutted me with the performance. The most unexpected bursting out into tears i think ive ever experienced lmao

Even as a comic book fan knowing Gwen's death ahead of time did not soften the blow of watching that happen the first time. And in all these years later it's still one of the most heart wrenching death scenes in cinema.

Fun fact: Mary Jane Watson was actually going to appear in this movie. Shailene Woodley was cast in the role and shot a few scenes, but they ended up on the cutting room floor.

Movies almost always give you dying words from main characters; it’s extremely effective that Gwen *just dies*: no closure, which is often more realistic

The scotch thing was just a company default present. Norman wouldn't care about his son's birthday, so probably some underling sent the bottle thinking Harry was an employee or business partner
