I was soooo happy when I saw this. I never expected to see Cryotic play my all time favorite Sony franchise!!! I am sooo excited.

My one complaint is that the pacing of this game sucks. The way they rush through the plot in cutscenes with weird skips is very odd and very noticeable. Other than that, seems alright.

He went from an original and unique character to a dreaming adventure boy living in an average place with dreams of glory while being a nobody and then suddenly getting the chance. It's so bad i'm just waiting for him to go into a song with a sudden completely dark night full moon to be there for him to look up on while singing a long obnoxious tone and lyrics that is more predictable than super mario bros goombas movement pattern

+Comet “Keitaro Derpy” Everlasting The fault in itself is in the movie, coming from someone who took their younger brother to see it since he wanted to see it. Kind of figured it'd bastardize it to a good margin anyway, being a movie based on a video game and all. Movies based on games and games based on movies usually arent good, save a few exceptions . Fact is, trying to compile a plot meant to last for an entire game into a movie of only maybe 1-2 hours or more is going to be ripe with pacing and plot issues. Even more so, the humor isn't nearly as clever or satirical as it was in the original. Couple good points here and there, but most the original style shines in the easily missable in-game jokes. If most/all the cutscenes are going to be as exact as the movie, they're probably not gonna be all that great in the humor department in my opinion. Of course, I'm sure that will be a different opinion from others, so take it as you may. If there's more game-only scenes like the Captain narrating it all in the beginning one, which had more the original humor style, then most the scenes will probably be fine.

It's not the same without Kevin Richardson doing Chairman Drek's voice :/ For those of you who never played the original, the chairman had the voice of Bubbles from Lilo and Stitch. It was awesome.

Seriously?The first one?I think that compared to any other game,the first one is....meh at best. Not upgradable weapons in an R&C game is really bad imo.

glad I'm not the only one who was a Jak fan! I enjoyed ratchet and clank, too, but that was my jam back in the ps2 days

Having grown up on the Ratchet & Clank series and playing all of the originals, this is so nostalgic to watch and makes me so happy at the same time! I get to watch my favourite youtuber play my favourite game

Cry, as somebody who's completed Ratchet twice, let me be the honest folk here. This here remastering is actually _A LOT_ different than it was on the PS2. The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the sped-up pacing and the over-dramatization of Ratchet as a hero, but that's pretty much the point of the game. The leveling systems and upgrade systems IMO are much better this time around, and the game is *gorgeous*. hope you enjoy your time playing it! In the original Ratchet, he was far more snarky and selfish, but a good guy at heart.

Crys voice is really soothing lol.

I'm really impressed with how faithful they were to the original Novalis for the most part. Can't help but miss the old Chairman Drek, though. He had so much more personality to him. Plus he just looks weird with "normal" eyes for some reason.

Also the game has much different feeling if you played the original before. You notice many references and similarities as a fan, and I am glad the creators did that.

4:19 and i am already in love with this series. can't wait for more, and i look foreward to another classic cry series that i will rewatch far too many times.

it's wild seeing it all modern and enhanced, I used to play the first one over and over again, memories...... wow this is literally like watching an updated version but it's pretty spot on through and through so far

I am so happy you decided to play this game cry. It reminds me so much of my childhood. I just love the fact that you never played this game before, AND decided to start on hard mode. That made me laugh so much because I feel like that's something only you would do haha. But anyways, I can't wait for more and I'm glad you're liking the game so far.

You NEVER played Ratchet and Clank?!? That was easily one of the best franchises on playstation, and it was all about a massive arsenal or weird and strange weapons.

I definitely want them to revamp the spyro series, and the Jack and Daxter series as well.

it was great to see this from the perspective of a person who hasn't played ratchet and clank before. the game is set up with the exact right amount of nostalgia. while also seeming to pander to those who are brand new to the games. creating a brand new set of people who will love these games and also keeping those who loved them on board. great game 10/10

+Mark Fleenor yeah, the fact that the humor now is less satire and more just childish humor, save moments here and there, kind of bothers me. Especially the fact that it seems most the scenes are just ones ripped from the movie it's a tie in to. My younger brother wanted to see it so i took him and watched it...it was as poorly paced and hit and miss as i expected it to be, and it bugs me most the humor will reflect similarly to said movie.

The nostalgia is so much for me because my dad, brother and I used to play Ratchet and Clank all the time.
