This channel is all about the adventures, hard work, and farm lifestyle chosen by two city kids who wanted live the dream of modern farming, while preserving the quality of life found in traditional home cooking and living off the land.
Nestled in the fertile, mountain valleys of Utah, Ballerina Farm is named after Hannah, a former Miss New York City and graduate of the Juilliard School of Dance. Daniel is a history major and now holds his MBA to guide the ever-growing business. I'm an elderly woman... almost 80... and I so love your videos. I grew up on a farm, then my husband and I had a small farm in northern Utah. I tried to pretty much do things the way you do, just no babies as I was too old. Thanks for the video on the sourdough bread. I did bread just a little differently than you do. You are a marvelous woman and I'll try to watch you as long as I am able. May God bless you and your family ❤️
I'm 12 years old and I live in town and I went to my aunt's house and she makes all her clothes, her food, etc. at home and she just taught me how to make jam Your video really helped me I'm going to make it to eat with my jam too fast 💓

@@Nikky73 Sure, here's a recipe for plum jam: Ingredients: - 1 kilogram of pitted and chopped plums - 800 grams of sugar - Juice of one lemon Instructions: 1. In a large pot, mix together the plums, sugar, and lemon juice. 2. Let it sit for 1 hour to allow the plums to release their juices. 3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring regularly. 4. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Test the consistency of the jam by placing a small amount on a cold plate. If it slightly sets, it's ready! 6. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal them tightly. 7. Allow the jam to cool completely before enjoying your delicious plum jam! I hope these more detailed instructions help you in making your jam. Have fun in the kitchen! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. 😊🍇

I'm so glad you're back on KZread!
There are so many tutorials on making bread and by far this is the best
Thank you so much! I've always wanted to try baking my own sourdough like this. For now I have a rye bread yeast and a seed heavy sourdough yeast living in my fridge and I bake bread once a week, but these fantastic round loaves is something I have never tried before and I'm so excited to learn one day. Now I know a lot of helpful tips with your demonstration! ❤ P.S. Don't take the mean comments to heart. They're just hurt and jealous. In truth, we all have our own paths and pur own struggles and should live in empathy and love regardless of the perceived circumstances of others. Only that way we can truly reach a better and kinder world, not by demonizing someone who we don't even personally know. You are a light on the internet and I am very grateful for the content you create. It inspires me to strive for my own dreams of raising and homeschooling children, sewing and cooking and shows me that it is possible to combine that with additional hobbies and work. Thank you for your light! ❤
I'm 49 years old and literally just learnt how to make sour dough from your channel .. thank you Hannah ❤
I'm watching ur videos in turkey and as Turkish tho. These makes me happy when watching your video
Thank you so much! I used to do bread with my grandmother when I was young. I love it so much! ❤ She used to spread some butter on the top after he was cooked. What a smell!! Oh my... For years my sister and I used to do home bread at home. Now older, with the rythm of our city, (always in a hurry...) one day, I stopped. So, seeing you doing bread remind me the happiness, flavor and pleasure to do it. I will try to do some in few days! 😊
Appreciate all the attention you give to detail on sourdough bread. I grew up eating Swedish bread, then baking Swedish bread, buttermilk bread, and oatmeal bread. How is it I became 74 years old and never made sourdough? Thank you for the knowledge.
I'm from Morocco I like your life style it's so nice to find some people like you

Equal parts (by weight) flour & water. After 3 days (2 if it’s warm weather) your starter is ready.

@@persimmonhoneyhollowfarmap3292that’s not accurate at all. You have to feed and discard for at least 7-10 days so the good bacteria takes over. Just because it rises and bubbles doesn’t mean it’s ready

@@sarabrown423 fake news! You can use it once it’s fermenting. It may be better and richer after a week, but my bread rises and I’ve been making soudough off and on for 30 years.

Wow, everything about this video is fantastic, you give the perfect amount of information. Some channels talk as though their audience is full of the most ignorant people they can imagine, it ends up making them look quite cocky. I like how you dont over explain terms, let people search for it if they need more information. Honestly the amount of people who know enough about what you're doing to follow along far outweigh the few who need a full breakdown of every step. Thank you! I did have a few questions if you get a chance: Do you mill your own flour? Either way, what kind of flour do you use and whats the hydration of those loaves? Also, not a question, but I LOVE that wooden dough whisk you have. Crazy simple design, I need to make one asap.

Revisiting your video again after watching your previous full step by step. You make this dough seem quite easy and happy. I've got my starter resting in fridge--thinking of taking it out to try your recipe. However, I am the only bread lover in my home, so I keep resisting the urge to bake. 🤓
