Looks amazing! Love the content train you've been on! Also great idea throwing the inline thermometer on the clawhammer recirculation, I may have to steal that.

Thanks!!! There’s about a 5° difference between where the probe is on the kettle and the spray valve. I’m not sure it makes a ton of difference but I’ve been experimenting with higher kettle mash temperatures to get the wort coming out of the spray valve closer to my mash temperature.

@ElementaryBrewingCo do you find your beers finish a bit drier than anticipated? I've been noticing that trend but my controller is well calibrated. I wonder if that recirc temp is having that big of an impact
Great video! Smart choice adding the flaked corn for the cold IPA style. That's a lot of hops for that little bag 😆
LOVE Cold IPAs. Had a hand in our brewery's first Cold IPA this past fall. Great experience in general and learned a lot about the process. Great video!

@@ElementaryBrewingCo I did a dive into ours on my channel, Four Horsemen of the A'hopalypse - we definitely went to town playing with the build of it, but it turned out very easy drink, fruity yet hoppy, and clean as hell! Cheers!
Great job! I love home-brewed COLD IPAs as I've yet to find a commercial Cold IPA that is really worth buying again and loved the three COLD IPAs I've brewed so far. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been thinking about doing some kits soon. I’ve gone through all of my base grains and I’ve haven’t done a kits since I first started. I just dry hopped my Tree House Beer with 9 oz of hops. I’ll have that grain to glass video out soon. Appreciate the video. Sláinte

Looks delicious! Did you figure out why you couldn't seal the keg fermenter (maybe I missed it)?
@ElementaryBrewingCo
7 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure it’s the threading on the thermowell. I only have the prototype and I know they had to tweak that a bit on the final because it was an issue. Cheers 🍻
Nice video. Beer looks great. I wonder if you served the beer with a floating dip tube and left the hop sack in the keg...how would that taste over time?
@ElementaryBrewingCo

Yeah that would be an interesting experiment for sure!!! Cheers 🍻
This beer looks so far up my alley we might be neighbors. A+ work, Cheers! 🍻

It’s a keeper for sure! Really enjoying it!!!
Adding large hop additions to my IPAs - ~14ozs per batch - has fundamentally upped my IPA game in terms of flavor and aroma... though I can't say I'm making the most cost "efficient" beer nowadays. Regardless, when I started to prefer my IPAs to the breweries around me, I knew I had to keep it going.
@ElementaryBrewingCo

Yeah I think some of the software we have under estimates the amount of hops we need to get the flavor we want. Cheers 🍻
Jealous of the beer, jealous of the MoreBeer hat. Glad the beer turned out great despite the trouble sealing your kegmenter. Cheers and happy holidays Brian!

Great beer, seems like it's pretty crushable! I must say the music choices this video were absolutely brutal...

Thanks!! Noted on the music, getting harder to find good tracks! Cheers 🍻
Is it crushable? Haha. Sounds great. I've always wanted to keg hop, but too scarred from previous hoppy attempts that got oxidized to risk. You have inspired me to give it a try (on a small batch!).
@ElementaryBrewingCo
7 ай бұрын
Nice! Well, not nice about oxidation!! If you purge the keg first, then open and add hops, then run co2 through it again you should be good. The other thing I like to do is dry hop while fermentation is still happening that way it still pushes out any O2 that gets I there. Cheers 🍻
Crushable!!!! Great video, making me thirsty now...

It’s the prototype and I think it’s got a leak in the thermowell threading. I know they were having issues with that and fixed it for the final product but I’ve had issues with getting it to seal.
What temp did you ferment at?

Good call on adding the corn. Ive been reading the differenced between cold IPA and IPL. So funny cause it comes down to assumptions. One of which being that the creator of the Cold IPA assumes that people that do IPL's are just taking a IPA recipe and fermenting with lager yeast where he says his is different cause his grist is a lager based recipe so that its crisp and clean and no caramel malts. To me they are the same thing.. lol Great video. The beers seems like it would be crushable. Was it? lol

It’s a prototype, I’ve had trouble getting a seal. Pretty sure it’s from the thermowell threading. They fixed that problem with the updated model.
Hops deliver concentrated phytoestrogen. Don't be surprised at your new moobs after drinking that.
