I have only used Incognito that my homebrew club got from a local craft brewery. They has a small out leftover so some club members got 25mL. It sticks everywhere! I found that heating it up with hot water helps. Adding some hop pellets at the same time helped as well as the oil bonds to the vegetal matter and helps with dispersion.

Super sticky!!! And I had the Centennial, soaked it in hot water, and it still wouldn’t come out! Didn’t think about the pellets helping with the oil! I do think that whenever I use this again it will be paired with pellets, cheers 🍻

I use the hop shot and Incognito regularly and love it. What I like to do with the Incognito is take some hot wort right before cold crashing, add the incognito to the fermenter and pour the hot wort on it, swish it around and let it sit while chilling the beer down. Gives some very nice flavor and aroma. Haven't tried Spectrum yet so no comments to share.

A fun idea to use only special hop products. I've used Incognito personally and it is still the most hop expressive beer I've ever made. Love that stuff. Enjoy the fruits of your labor my friend. Cheers!

well said about the carbonation. I always do the same thing when making my hazy. I always taste after dry hop and always feel like I need to do more, then once I carbonate the aroma and flavor just punches. Normally I dont second dry hop, but this time I just decided to do a second dry hop.

Yeah, I've always felt very strongly that carbonation is to beer what salt is to food. Some needs more than others, and others need less, but flat beer is like unseasoned food.

Maybe I shouldn’t really say change, not sure if that’s the right way to express what goes on during carbonation. Its nit something I also thought about when I use to bottle all my homebrew. I now keg everything and that’s how I come to notice what the carbonation process adds to the beer.

I've seen some other youtubers/brewers say they had oily residue at teh top of their brew. Did you find this? Separately, do you trust it over adding hops the standard way? I feel like I would miss smelling them pre-addition too much

Yes super oily and sticky!!! Made clean up a bit tougher actually. And I will not be ditching pellets at all! I will be trying the spectrum again but I’d like to pair it with some pellets during a dry hop to see how it does when paired with them!

Do you think the dry hop addition adequately mixed into the beer or did you stir? I’ve used these products and it was a bitch to clean up the kettle and fermenter… I needed alcohol to break down the film. May have to try it again. Thanks.

Oh man it is super sticky! I had the same problem and clean up really sucked! I did not stir it in as I didn’t want to risk oxidation. There’s a video on their channel that shows them swirling it and adding…the risk of oxidation seems to high!

@@ElementaryBrewingCo Thanks for you to replay my message !!! The reason why I think that I might be had the trouble is because I have no idea if the incognite will dissolve in the wort during the dip hooping processes or not. That's because the temperature of whirpool process keep 80 degree C, and the wort keep stirring. Meanwhile, I read someone said it will be better to use it pair together with small amount of T90. I am thinking the process as follows. # Added Incognito on the T90 hops, and then add 80 degree C wort to mix them to be the dip hopping process So, Do you think that it is ok? Any suggestion for the Incognito in the dip hopping processes. Super Big thanks !!! Footnote The purpose for me to think about to use Incognito in dip hopping are as follows. 1. Boost up the hop flavor 2. Regarding something limitation, I can only bottle the beer 12 days after the dip hopping process and cannot do the dry hopping. In this way, I think use Incongtino can make less grass or bad effect when leave the hop in the wort too long.
