Terrible performance by Judd this morning, I've seen him having bad days but he was nowhere near even his average...

@Kat-zj5kd No it wasn't. Ronnie played well, he just buckled under pressure and started having little tantrums - like he always does on the rare occasion someone fronts up, which Bingham did.
Jak wasn’t playing slow, per se. If I remember correctly, Judd’s shot time was slower than Jak’s. The balls just went awkward quite a lot of frames and didn’t present the usual standard layout for high breaks.

No jak’s shot time was slower a bit but he was more at the table so this shows that he played slowly even when he build brakes but yeah, Trump had a horrible game today

Jak’s shot time just 2 seconds slower than Judd, just 4 seconds slower than Ronnie in his match against Bingham. But he’s quicker by a few seconds than Higgins in his current match and Gilbert in his…So a bit unfair by those who are too quick to label him slow, he’s not lightning fast obviously but plays at a reasonable pace when in the balls. You have to appreciate he’s also battling a player who’s 40 or more ranking points ahead. He’s shown a lot of good ring craft, and ultimately Judd folded under the pressure of playing a guy he should’ve beaten and just couldn’t get the better of…Well done Jak great result
Well done, Jak 🏴
Unusual comments from Judd. Never expected him to say slow play of Jak got him bogged down. Expected judd to acknowledge Jak performed better on the day and won.

I think hes just gutted from his own performance honestly
I suggested to a pal before this match began that Judd would find it hard to cope with Jak's rather slow pace. This in no way is a criticism of Jak Jones. Some rely a lot on rhythm, others not so.

I'd agree with thst but I also think that the tables are not quite as they should be? Cloth and cushions seem slow and unresponsive and the top players seem to be struggling getting decent breaks together like you'd expect them to do. Lots of running short on position and a lot of the cue ball needing to be cleaned as well.

@@Dystopianutopiabuildsyes I noticed he only they the tables ain’t great. He’s not wanted to go in to too much detail. He doesn’t wanna slag off the venue that all players in the modern game dream of playing at. Especially with the talks of the venue changing at the end of the contract in 2027.

It's really not set up right is it. They are really struggling on both of them.
I knew it.Jak knew he would break Judd's tempo.Good strategy Jak.Easier said than done this, play the table not the player malarkey..
Judd is a nice guy and great player. I don't understand why he would reveal to the world how to beat him
Just himself to blame, never had a surge in any of his 3 sessions, problem is his playing strategy…he was preparing the semi-final against Ronni, just hoping edge out his opponent by experience and put this game behind him ASAP, lost his attacking playing vintage, afraid of taking any risky shots, trapping into the pace of Jak…
this guy played a quality match. strange that he's not had any results the whole season though
Flair players hate scrappy frames ,,,judd worse I've seen him play 😮
The tables need to be 99.99 %ok for world snooker championships 😮
Loads of players slow the pace down, it's part of the game and should have done better. Not your year again unfortunately.
How has Jones managed to get around the dress code ie dickie bow ? Anyone else noticed and have answer please ?
@Carl-vl1ne
16 күн бұрын
There are a few players who have doctors notes to not wear bow ties. Could be due to a Chest condition. Skin condition. Phobia of things around your neck. Many different reasons. I myself would not be able to wear one as I am asthmatic, suffer with eczema. And hate scarfs ties or anything that restricts my neck line. I cannot wear polo shirts. Have to wear v neck style.

And I don't like some of the nonsense Ronnie talks sometimes. I watched the match
Despite Ronnie going out as well, there is no doubting who is no.1 and who is no.2 . If Trump doesn’t add to his number of triple crown wins he’ll risk becoming the Jimmy Connors of Snooker.. Trump could well win more tournaments than anybody else, but not the ones that really count if he wants to be regarded as one of the five or so best players ever to have played the game. Love watching them both play by the way. Trump has the ultimate ability, his one and only WC against Higgins was one of the most high quality games ever to be played. Shame to see them both go out , but it’s refreshing to see such an open draw now.
I have never seen Trump play like that. Jones was only slightly better. That was the worst standard of snooker I have ever seen on tv. Looked like two guys in the local pub having a game. Was it the table? What the heck was all that about? With that standard there is no way Jones going any further in this tournament. He just came up against a woeful Trump. Lucky boy!

Yes the tables are playing horrible. The crowd are constantly coughing. So many signs of damp. Look at any player that is known for making big breaks. Ronnie. Higgins. Mark Allen. Trump just to name a few. And look at their previous century records at the worlds. There will not be any century records broken this year that is for sure.

Judd needs to learn not on the top too fast begin of the season…. Getting slower in the world even he won 6 titles but when need to longer match then the challenges come.

judd's obviously gutted. too bad he got dragged into jak's slow rhythm. but he's been playing forever now and should know how to deal with slow players and play at his own pace and even break opponent's slow rhythm. looks like he still has things to learn mentally. as a quick strong player he should be setting the pace, not let inferior players get into his head like that.

What a load of rubbish, Judd was playing slower than Jak and looked absolutely lost at times.
Fair play to Jones, He has done well. However (and he is not the only one), but he/Gilbert (& Bingham to a lesser extent) Although he is a proven (albeit) sporadic Winner are symbolic that a 20 event ranking season just compromises the WC. I haven't checked Bingham's or Gilbert's full results this season but JJ has only ONCE gone beyond the 2nd Round of an event this season (Welsh open QF) So the guys who have done all the Silverware lifting or gone deep in most Tournaments (JT & ROS & MW to name but a few) are "played out" when the WC rolls around. They all looked, And played, Flat. The old format old WC qualifiers in March & a 3 week break between the end of the China Open was better. Calendar has too many "Samey" non entity Tournaments (mostly the ITV ones) so WST (Hearn & Co) can sell them to various companies. Judd & others have rightly been vociforous critics (and rightly so) as unless you play in most of these events you risk your top 16 status. It's no wonder a breakaway Tour is being mooted tbh......
No doubt Jak had performed brilliantly, this reminds me of Luca last year where consistency is key. Beating No 2 this time round is pure luck because positioning is boring to watch.
I still can't believe this result great match but Jak played brilliant to beat the best xxxlol ❤❤❤ best wishes also cant wait to watch the seniors tour coming soon on channel five xxxlol ❤❤❤ best wishes
