Crowning a New KING of Adjustable Benches? Rogue Adjustable Bench 3.0

Спорт

Are we crowning a new king of adjustable benches? Honestly after owning this adjustable bench for over a month and testing it through every workout for weeks I'm not in love. In this video we'll review the bench and compare it to a few other benches, mainly from Rep Fitness since clearly this is who Rogue is trying to compete with on this one, and see who comes out on top.
The build quality is mostly there, the bench is solid and well though out but as we compare it to other benches that have been on the market awhile I see a few things that I think could've been improved. This is an in-depth breakdown of the features and specs of this adjustable vs a few others I see as it's direct competition.

You should check out the GetRx FIDAB-2. One, because it seems like you could use another adjustable bench. Secondly, it seems to be the best of both worlds between the 3.0, 5200, and 5000. Ladder style adjustment with decline option.

Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. kzread.infoUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.

Well... this video uploaded the day I purchased this rogue bench. Thanks for the upload, my son is about the same age and I totally pictured him doing the same thing lol! If knew about the wheels for the extra cash I would've considered it more. For me it came down to looks and made in the USA. I'm a mechanic and have bought many American tools and some imported tools. If I can support an American company and if I know I will use a tool very often I always buy American. But if its a once in a good while tool I use then I buy Chinese/imported tools at half the price. Even though the rep quality looks good, I can't justify the price of made in China for the price of made in the USA.

You made some great points with this bench when comparing them to the two REP options. I was so excited when this was first launched and then bummed when I heard about the width and slickness of the pad, length of the pad for top only needed for flat benching, the bunching of the pad when the seat went up, the cheap wheels, a ton of people having damaged or missing parts. Every package from REP I have ever received has foam protection, inspected, taped. Everything from Rogue I have received has just been thrown into a box and shipped. Seems like the Rogue bench we would need to get the premium upgrades to get what the REP AB5200 was already providing, so I went with it and I am very happy.

  • @GlucksGym

They're both really good benches I guess I just expected a bit more from Rogue's. Had I gotten the premium (didn't exist then, I do have it now) I might've been more excited. I also owned the AB-5200 and I seriously disliked it. Even though the pad was grippy, it was not firm at all and felt very squishy to me. Not sure if they've improved upon it since then, but I got rid of that bench in a few months.

See I am thinking very similar to you Eric. If someone has a REP flat bench and is not going to use the Rogue 3.0 bench for flat exercises anyway then the Rogue is the better bench. It should hands down be the best bench when in an elevated position. The Rep flat bench may be better for flat bench since you can press yourself into the pad better.

If only for angled that does alleviate some issues but I still wish it were wider and some other things could've been done better with the 3.0. It should be better set up since it costs over $500 to get that bench and pad which is a hell of a jump in price. At that point I'd just put a Thompson fat pad on either the FB 5000 or the Rogue monster bench. As for the Rep bench idk if that's your anti China or Rogue fan boy coming out based on your comments on this channel but I've had my FB 5k for over 18 months and my gym is used by 5 people multiple days a week. Hell I even left an 80 lbs dumbbell on it for 24 hours once after filming. Next day the foam was perfectly fine and my bench is still mint. For the price it's unbeatable. Are their better benches? Sure and I love my country and prefer American but if I have to pay a ton more it better be worth it. You can't go wrong with either but don't be misleading people by just shutting down anything that isn't your choice.

I am really starting to think the Rep 5200 is still the better bench. Wonder why the didn’t make a grippy pad is they copied most of the other stuff? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey now I said borrowed haha. Idk they just kept to their vinyl I guess. If not for that I'd still have some complaints but I think I'd like it a ton more. I'll rebuy my 5200 soon and compare them all directly next month or two

We have the 5200 as one of our 3 benches and it's an awesome bench and will review it soon but like Gluck said the pad is much better. There is a secret to making the 5200 better also which I will cover.

Quality control hasn't kept up? Perhaps they are trying to copy Titan at something??? That's a switch!

Maybe more of Rep this time. Still a great company but I had to be honest with my experience
