I made the mistake of trying Black Velvet as my first Canadian whiskey. It's P*ss. Then years later I tried Crown Royal Black. I did not care for that. Then I tried the XO and your score of 7.5 is very fair. It is a blend of over 50 whiskeys. They probably were cleaning house and dumped a bunch of near empty barrels together. I have an unopened bottle of Pendleton 1910 12 Year Old Rye Whisky, hint, hint. I like rye, so I'm trying different "Northern" whiskeys, sorry, Whiskys. I like my whiskey neat and with an "e".

Ha ha… I forgot all about black velvet … probably for hood reason … lol … I am on a bit of a quest to start trying out some more rye’s … thanks Johnny.
